Justin Holiday and Maurice Ndour will start for Knicks in place of Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis
With Anthony (back) and Porzingis (back) unavailable, Justin Holiday and Maurice Ndour will start again for the Knicks. Both are solid value options, with Ndour being the more exciting of the two. In both of his starts this season he's scored more than 30 FD points. Courtney Lee experiences the largest usage bump (8.2%) with Melo, Porzingis, Rose, Noah, and Thomas off the court this season and his FD ppm increases by 0.20 ppm to 0.83 total.
Carmelo Anthony (back) and Kristaps Porzingis (back) ruled OUT tonight for Knicks
Both players missed last game and were questionable heading into Sunday and they've officially been ruled out for tonight's game against the Toronto Raptors. New York chose to start Justin Holiday and Maurice N'Dour. Both would be solid value options, with N'Dour being the more exciting of the two. In both of his starts this season he's scored more than 30 FD points. Courtney Lee experiences the largest usage bump (8.2%) with Melo, Porzingis, Rose, Noah, and Thomas off the court this season and his FD ppm increases 0.20 to 0.83.
Maurice N'dour will start for Kristaps Porzingis (back) tonight
Porzingis will not play in tonight's game against the Chicago Bulls due to a sore lower back despite never appearing on the Knicks' injury report at any point during the day. Carmelo Anthony has already been confirmed in the lineup and will start at his normal small forward position. Mindaugas Kuzminskas was originally expected to draw the start in his absence, but surprisingly, Maurice N'dour will make his first career start at power forward. The largest beneficiary of Porzingis' absence is Guillermo Hernangomez, as he has averaged 1.64 fantasy points per minute with Porzingis, Derrick Rose, and Lance Thomas off the court since the All-Star break. Carmelo will obviously a significant bump in usage rate without Porzingis available but draws a tough individual matchup against Jimmy Butler, reserving him to use in tournaments only.
Knicks have recalled Maurice N'dour and Marshall Plumlee from their D-League affiliate
The Knicks have brought N'dour and Plumlee back to their active roster tonight. It's likely for emergency purposes since the team is playing on the second night of a back-to-back. There is a chance that Kristaps Porzingis gets the game off since he is still dealing with a sore Achilles. Look for another update from the Knicks later tonight.
