Michael Crabtree Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Arizona Cardinals cut Michael Crabtree

Crabtree lasted two weeks with the Cardinals, only catching 4 passes for 22 yards total. Even in the high-volume Air Raid passing attack, he got just 5 targets total, and his departure won't significantly impact the other Cardinals WR's. KeeSean Johnson and Damiere Byrd might see a couple additional targets.

Michael Crabtree Will Play Week 2

Crabtree is expected to play Week 2, although it isn't clear how much. The Cardinals are planning to run fewer 4-WR sets this week, with the fact they were down 18 in Week 1 forcing them into passing it 54 times. Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk are safe at the top of the depth chart, so Crabtree will be looking to take targets away from KeeSean Johnson or Damiere Byrd.

Michael Crabtree Expected to Play Week 2

According to coach Kliff Kingsbury, Michael Crabtree is expected to play Week 2 for the Arizona Cardinals. Crabtree has not been dynamic in recent years, averaging 37.9 yards per game, 11.2 yards per reception with a catch rate of just 54% last season with the Ravens. However, the Arizona offense promises to be more pass heavy than Baltimore was last season and there are plenty of targets to go around. In Week 1, the Arizona Cardinals passed it 54 times and the Air Raid will continue to see the Cardinals play at a fast pace with plenty of 3, 4 and 5-WR sets.

Crabtree Lands in Baltimore

Baltimore has added several new pieces to revamp the WR corps that was utterly putrid in 2017. The biggest addition is Michael Crabtree coming over from Oakland. Is Joe Flacco elite? Highly doubtful. But he is still solid enough to turn a number one wide receiver into a nice fantasy asset for us. Crabtree has been a consistent performer in the NFL since being drafted in the first round back in 2009. Even entering the season at the advanced age of 30 years old, Crabtree may still offer upside in DFS lineups now that he is the clear-cut number one wide receiver with an adequate quarterback delivering him the ball.

Michael Crabtree injured his hamstring last week

Michael Crabtree'was a surprise no-show in the box score on Monday night. The Raiders leading wide receiver injured his hamstring during warmups on Sunday night and was only able to play in a limited fashion against the Eagles. As of Wednesday, it's unclear whether Crabtree will attempt to play in a meaningless game against the Chargers in Week 17.

Amari Cooper on track to play Monday night

Cooper hasn't played a full game since Week 11, but he has returned to practice and is reportedly on track to start this week. Cooper has been a major disappointment this season, and it's a bit of surprise that he will push to get back on the field now that the Raiders season is over. Ankle injuries are never easy to get over and one would think that Cooper will be less than 100% on Christmas night. Even if Cooper plays you can still expect Michael Crabtree to be the number one option for this team.

Amari Cooper expected to miss this week's game

With the concussion protocol behind him, Cooper was not able to get his ankle healthy enough to play this week. In what has been an overall disappointment of a season, Cooper had his best game of the season in a Thursday night matchup vs the Chiefs in week seven. Look for Seth Roberts to step up as a popular streaming wide receiver option this week. The Raiders will get back Michael Crabtree from suspension this week making him the clear-cut number one option in the passing game, but there should still be plenty of targets for Roberts now that Copper is out.

Amari Cooper misses practice again

With the concussion protocol behind him, Cooper must get his ankle in working order if he plans to play this week vs The Chiefs. In what has been an overall disappointment of a season, if healthy Cooper could best be used as a GPP option only. If Cooper can't play look for Seth Roberts to step up as a popular streaming wide receiver option this week. The Raiders will get back Michael Crabtree from suspension this week, so if Copper were to miss there would be clear-cut path for great production from their leading receiver.

Amari Cooper may return to practice Thursday

Cooper was working on the side today. Adam Caplan reports the receiver could participate tomorrow. Marcus Peters' (suspension) absence will be an upgrade for Michael Crabtree and Cooper if he plays. Peters was the best corner on the team but he's only earned PFF's 35th-best coverage grade this season. As a unit, the Chiefs have played poorly. They're allowing the second-most PPR points to receivers this season and rank 24th in pass DVOA. The rest of their corners have graded out as 82nd or worse in coverage with yards per route defended between 1.53-2.06. To put that in perspective, those ypcs rates would be between the sixth-most and most if they all qualified. If Cooper sits, Crabtree could see some extra targets in a terrific spot.

Chiefs CB Marcus Peters suspended for Week 14

It's a team-imposed suspension for leaving the field Sunday after throwing a flag into the stands - Peters thought he got ejected but he hadn't been. His absence will be an upgrade for Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper if he plays. Peters was the best corner on the team but he's only earned PFF's 35th-best coverage grade this season. As a unit, the Chiefs have played poorly. They're allowing the second-most PPR points to receivers this season and rank 24th in pass DVOA. The rest of their corners have graded out as 82nd or worse with yards per route defended between 1.53-2.06. To put that in perspective those ypcs rates would be between the sixth-most and most if they all qualified. If Cooper sits, Crabtree could enjoy an increase in targets in a terrific spot.
