All Mets bats below $4K against Anibal Sanchez and tired Atlanta bullpen

The Mets have just a 4.22 implied run line in Atlanta tonight and the question to ask is...why? Anibal Sanchez makes his first start back from the DL (hamstring). Batters from either side have a hard hit rate above 33% with a ground ball rate below 40% against him since last season and these two teams played a double-header on Monday that didn't end until after 1am. Bullpens were exhausted. Brandon Nimmo (158 wRC+, .244 ISO vs RHP last calendar year) and Michael Conforto (148 wRC+, .229 ISO) lead a lineup without a batter above $4K on either site. They are joined by Devin Mesoraco (108 wRC+, .260 ISO) and Jose Bautista (60 wRC+, .141 ISO) with all four at or above a 150 wRC+ and 38+ Hard% over the last week. If players are looking at higher priced pitching tonight, this is a lineup with upside that gets you there.

Backup goalie looks for another massive outing

Mike Condon has made two starts against two strong teams - Edmonton and Los Angeles. Condon came out victorious in Edmonton in a 6-1 shellacking of the Oilers as he stopped 35 of 36 shots. Just three nights ago Condon came up short against the Kings 3-2 in the shootout, but he did stop 41 of 43 shots sent his way. The spot is not ideal as Ottawa is on the tail-end of a back-to-back, but Mike Condon has shown he can handle such spots. New Jersey has been one of the better offenses in the National Hockey League as their 2.90 xGF/90 at 5v5 ranks third-best, but it is unlikely they will keep this pace. Kyle Palmieri will not play tonight, and he is New Jersey's second-best scoring option behind Taylor Hall. Condon could put up another 35-plus save night tonight and sneak out with a win.

Value Goalie With GPP Upside

If you're looking for value and upside from your goalie tonight, consider taking Mike Condon, who will be filling in for starter Craig Anderson in tonight's game. A matchup against a rejuvenated Kings team may seem risky, but this veteran team will be playing on the tail end of back to back games in the middle of a long road trip. Playing a stout defensive-minded game, Ottawa allows among the most shot attempts per game in the league, but yields the fifth fewest high danger scoring chances on the slate and owns the NHL's best penalty kill percentage this season. This bodes well for Condon, who should have no problems turning aside a plethora of low quality shots to easily pay off his very cheap price tag in a game that should be the lowest scoring tilt on the slate.
