Mike Wallace Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
WR Mike Wallace (ankle) questionable for Sunday; WR's Alshon Jeffery and Golden Tate are good to go
With fellow wideouts Alshon Jeffery and Golden Tate removed from the injury report, the veteran receiver figures to remain a non-factor even if he is able to suit up for Sunday's divisional round game at New Orleans. TE Zach Ertz leads the team in targets in games QB Nick Foles has started, though Jeffery and Agholor haven't been far behind manning the outside in Wallace's absence. Last week's hero, Tate, actually has the best matchup in the slot on Sunday, with CB P.J. Williams being by far the weakest link in the Saints' secondary. In the slate's second-highest total game, where the Eagles figure to be forced to pass more than last week, all four pass-catchers are firmly in play regardless of Wallace's status.
WR Mike Wallace (leg) is still day-to-day
The veteran speedster is unlikely to be available for Sunday's divisional round game at New Orleans after recently coming of injured reserve. Alshon Jeffery, Golden Tate, and Nelson Agholor will round out 3-WR sets in a game where they will likely be forced to throw early and often.
Mike Wallace (ankle) ruled out for Sunday
Wallace has officially been ruled out of Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Bears due to an ankle injury that's kept him sidelined since Week 2, which will enable Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor to continue working as the Eagles top-two wide receivers. Nick Foles has been a full participant in practice the last two days, and head coach Doug Pederson confirmed earlier in the week that Foles would start at quarterback this weekend. The Bears have been significantly more stingy versus the run this season, ranking second in rush DVOA, so the Eagles should be expected to attack Chicago through the air, setting up Foles for a significant floor in terms of volume.
Nick Foles (ribs) returns to full practice Thursday; Wendell Smallwood (hand) and Mike Wallace (ankle) limited
Foles was able to participate fully in Thursday's practice after being limited in Wednesday's session due to bruised ribs, while Wendell Smallwood and Mike Wallace were limited for a second straight day because of hand and ankle injuries, respectively. This news all but confirms head coach Doug Pederson's statements that Foles was "feeling good" and would start in Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Bears on Wild Card weekend. The Bears have been significantly more stingy versus the run this season, ranking second in rush DVOA, so the Eagles should be expected to attack Chicago through the air, setting up Foles for a significant volume floor in terms of pass attempts.
WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is still week-to-week
Jeffery is desperately needed back with fellow WR Mike Wallace suffering a broken fibula on Sunday and the Eagles currently without 3 of their top 4 wide receivers from the start of the season. Even so, it appears the Eagles are not going to rush their WR1 into action, leaving a massive target share to WR Nelson Agholor and TE Zach Ertz for the time being. When Jeffery does return, he should have a rise in stock with QB Carson Wentz now starting.
Mike Wallace Dealing with Ankle Injury
Mike Wallace left Sunday's game against Tampa Bay with an ankle issue. He was ruled out and now it appears as though the Wide Receiver will be out for an extended period of time. Nelson Agholor is the #1 Wide Receiver on this team and should be rostered as such moving forward.
Eagles sign WR Kamar Aiken
The signing of Aiken hints at WR Alshon Jeffery being unlikely to return in Week 2 when the Eagles take on a weak Bucs secondary. Perhaps Aiken competes for the team's third wide receiver spot in the interim, but Nelson Agholor and Mike Wallace are locked in to 2-WR sets.
Doug Pederson says Mack Hollins won’t play on Thursday
Doug Pederson says Mack Hollins won’t play on Thursday. #Eagles. Alshon is already out and now Hollins won't play. Nelson Agholor is already banged up so the Eagles could turn to Mike Wallace as a field stretcher Week 1. Wallace becomes a very intriguing play for a Thursday Night Showdown slate against the Falcons to open the season
Jeremy Maclin doubtful, and Mike Wallace questionable for Sunday
Maclin didn't suit up last week due to a knee injury and is expected to once again sit out the team's Week 17 matchup against the Bengals. Even when healthy Maclin has been a low-end option in terms of fantasy production. Mike Wallace is questionable this week with a knee injury but is tentatively expected to play vs the Bengals. Wallace could have a tough matchup this week and is almost dependent on the long ball to become relevant in terms of DFS scoring. The Ravens are in a must-win spot and could choose to use the ground and pound approach in order to control the clock as well as give their team the best chance to win. For now, the passing attack on this team looks like a clear avoid in Week 17.
Mike Wallace confirms he will play
Wallace did not practice on Thursday due to an ankle injury but said he is ready to go for the Ravens' Week 15 matchup against the Browns. The Ravens offense looked great against the Steelers last week, and the ability of Wallace to stretch the field has been a big boost to the offense over the last few weeks. Wallace has 8 receptions and 188 yards over the last two weeks has been the primary wide receiver threat for Joe Flaco and the Ravens.
