Nicolas Laprovittola waived by the Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs have announced that they have waived guard Nico Laprovittola. He only appeared in 18 games for the Spurs, averaging 3.3 points and 1.6 assists in just 9.7 minutes per game. His absence from the Spurs' roster does little affect their rotation outside of securing minutes for Dejounte Murray when Tony Parker sits for rest. The Spurs roster now stands at 14 players, but a corresponding roster move has yet to be announced.
Reminder: Pau Gasol and Tony Parker resting along with Manu Ginobili
The news that Gasol and Parker was sent out after the Spurs loss to the Clippers last night and Manu Ginobili was already out for tonight. No starter has been named in place of Gasol or Parker but Nicolas Laprovittola has started in place of Parker many times this season. He is a low-end DFS option and Patty Mills will benefit more with Parker out of the lineup. David Lee and Dewayne Dedmon could start in place of Gasol. We'll send another update once we receive something official.

Parker will not play in tonight's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a knee injury that caused him to exit early in the Spurs previous game. Nicolas Laprovittola will be inserted into the starting lineup at point guard once again, though Patty Mills still remains the preferred target of the Spurs backcourt options. The absence of Parker is also a bump to the usage rates of Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, making them our primary targets along with Mills.
Tony Parker OUT for Spurs tonight
The veteran PG played in San Antonio's last game but will miss tonight with a left knee contusion. Nico Laprovittola and Patty Mills will man the PG position for the team - Nico doesn't get enough run even as a starter to merit DFS consideration while Mills can provide some value on this small six game slate - he put up 25+ fpts each of the last two games that Parker missed.

Nicolas Laprovittola will be inserted into the starting lineup at point guard once again, though Patty Mills still remains the preferred target of the Spurs backcourt options.

In addition to Ginobili and Gasol resting, Tony Parker is expected "to suit up but not expected to play much" according to Spurs beat reporter, Michael Wright. Laprovittola and Patty Mills will handle the Point Guard duties and both make for an interesting option in tournaments. That being said, this game at Dallas has the lowest over/under of the slate and there are better spots to look for value on this 10-game slate.
