Nolan Patrick Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Two top lines set to neutralize each other?
With Philadelphia's top line of Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier and Wayne Simmonds likely matched up against the unstoppable Nathan MacKinnon line, an opportunity awaits Nolan Patrick, who made his return to the lineup on Saturday, logging a season-high in minutes (16:36) and potting his first goal of the season. Nolan will center Jakub Voracek who is always overlooked when not skating on the Flyers' top line. Look for Nolan, who is $3,900 on DraftKings and $4,500 on FanDuel, to build off his previous game. He is an interesting, low-owned option in tournaments along with Jakub Voracek who produces no matter which line he is on.
Value Line Stack In Great Home Matchup
Two seasons removed from a rough offensive output in which he scored just 11 goals on a career-worst 5.2 SH%, veteran sniper Jakub Voracek has rebounded nicely with 79 points in 74 games this season. Skating alongside talented young playmakers Nolan Patrick and Oskar Lindblom on Philadelphia's second line, Voracek should be on your radar tonight taking on a Rangers squad that has surrendered the most shot attempts and owns the league's worst xGA/60 over their past 15 games. With the majority of his production coming on home ice this season, Voracek should be the focal point of Philadelphia's offense tonight in a game where home ice advantage will allow head coach Dave Hakstol to keep his best scoring threat away from New York's top line at even strength, making him a solid option to target in a game Philadelphia should have no problems finding the back of the net in.
This highly-touted rookie is rounding into form
Nolan Patrick continues to show flashes of why the Flyers drafted him with the second overall pick in last year's NHL Draft. He's posted five goals and added six assists over his last 17 games and, tonight, is faced with a date against a New York Rangers team that has surrendered a troubling 3.65 goals against per game since the All-Star break. Patrick lit the lamp against the Rangers in their last meeting and is simply priced too inexpensively given his natural skill set. If you're rostering his linemate Jakub Voracek, stack him with Patrick to greatly reduce the average cap hit.
After a slow start, this youngster is rolling
It took Nolan Patrick awhile to get used to life at the NHL level, but last year's second overall draft pick is making up for lost time in a hurry. The 19-year-old has picked up five goals and added five assists over his last 13 games and has developed a very nice rapport with Jakub Voracek on the Flyer's second forward line. Tonight, he'll face a Columbus team that has allowed .76 more goals per game on the road this season versus on home ice and Patrick has already scored a goal and dished out as assist against them in their three prior meetings.
Rookie center has found his rhythm in second half of season
Nolan Patrick hasn't exactly adjusted to the professional level as quick as some might have expected as he has just 20 points in 57 games, but it has been a tale of two halves this season for the youngster. Prior to the All-Star Break, Patrick posted a pathetic nine points in 40 games while averaging just 12 minutes of ice time. Since the All-Star Break, Nolan has come alive, posting 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists) in 17 games while averaging 16 minutes of ice time. Center is loaded at the top tonight with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, but both Bo Horvat and Nolan Patrick (FanDuel - $4,900 and DraftKings - $4,800) offer significant savings.
Second overall draft pick is finally heating up
There have been plenty of growing pains along the way, but last year's #2 overall draft pick Nolan Patrick looks to be growing more and more comfortable as the season progresses. The 19-year-old has potted goals in each of the last two games and will hop over the boards this evening riding a three-game point streak. He's posted four goals and three assists over his last 11 games and looks to be developing a nice rapport with Jakub Voracek on Philly's second forward line. With Wayne Simmonds sidelined, Dave Hakstol will be looking for his immensely talented rookie to help pick up some of the scoring slack
A breakout performance is looming for this highly-touted rookie
We've seen several rookies make an immiedate impact at the NHL level already this season, but as one of the more hyped prospects entering the 17-18 season, Nolan Patrick has been slow out of the gates. With that said, the 19-year-old looks to finally be fully recovered from an upper-body injury that cost him nearly a full month and he potted his second career goal over the weekend against the Calgary Flames. Patrick absolutely dominated at the AHL level the past two seasons and it's only a matter of time until he starts clicking with Wayne Simmonds on the Flyer's second forward line.
