Golf moves to primetime as The Tour heads to Korea for this week's CJ Cup. Just a reminder that you have just about two hours to finish up your rosters. As of now, there is no major news to report and it appears that Luke List, Pat Perez, and Matt Jones are all ready to play. Earlier today there was a big cloud of uncertainty as Pat Perez, Matt Jones, and Luke List all had their tee times removed from the PGA Tour website. All three players now have times listed on the site and appear ready to play this week. As always we will keep an eye on any news up until lock. Just a reminder that rosters lock Wednesday evening for this event in Korea.

While there has been no official word on any player withdrawing this week, the three players listed above are missing an official tee time on the PGA Tour website. We will keep an eye on the news wire and provide official information when it becomes available. For now, the best plan of action is to avoid adding any of these golfers to your roster build pools.

With a little over ten minutes until the roster lock, it’s quiet on the news front. Outside of Pat Perez and Whee Kim withdrawing earlier in the week, there has been no player movement to report. Pat Perez and Whee Kim are no longer in the field for The Players Championship. Dominic Bozzelli and Wyndham Clark are now both in the field as alternates. It remains to be seen if either player will make their way into DFS pricing pools.

It's really hard to quantify in golf the really thin line between success and failure at the highest level of competition. For example, if you just look at a game log and see a missed cut that will not often tell the story of how a player performed that week. In the case of Pat Perez, game log watchers will see a missed cut at last week's Sony Open and assume that he played poorly. Perez missed the cut by one shot last week failing to birdie his last hole of the day, a very attackable par 5. If he makes that cut then there is a better than average chance that both his price and ownership are a bit higher for this week's Desert Classic. That being said, Perez is still an excellent source of value for the week. In addition to his win, Perez has made 9 out of 13 cuts including 4 top 30 or better finishes. Perez is a proven veteran on tour and has more than enough upside to pay off his salary for the week.

Coming off his second consecutive season with a win Pat Perez will enter this week looking to become the third person in a row to successfully defend The CIMB Classic. Currently ranked inside the top 60 in the world Perez has made the most of his second chance to play golf at a high level. Prior to the start of the 2017 season, Perez had battled injuries that left him wondering if he would ever have the chance to compete on tour again. Known for his ability to ride a hot streak, Perez posted 27 birdies in route to a convincing win at last year's CIMB Classic. WIth not much buzz around Perez prior to the start of the event, there is a great opportunity to buy low on a golfer who could very well play his way into contention again. For those that like the baby swag narrative, Perez welcomed his daughter into the world in September and will make his second start as a new dad.

Veteran tour player Pat Perez will prepare to make his second start at The Masters this week. At 41 Perez is defying both his age and injuries to play the best golf of his career. Motivated by his second chance in golf Perez has gone on record as saying that he wants nothing more to make the Ryder Cup team this season. Heading into this week, Perez finds himself a three-time tour winner who now ranks as the 21st best golfer in the world. In his last 33 events, Perez has 20 top 25 or better finishes and rates as a great value on DraftKings this week. Perez finished inside the top 18 in last year's Masters and at $6,900 he stands a great chance to once again pay off his salary at DraftKings.Perez is playing the best golf of his career and ranks as the overall top play in the RotoGrinders DraftKings projection tool in terms of Pt/$/K and should be a great play in all formats for the first major of the season.
