Paul Byron Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This center continues to put up points on his new team

Over the last month, the Montreal Canadiens are sporting the 4th-best CF% with a 53.19 rate which should bode well as they host the Detroit Red Wings and their 24th ranked CF% of 47.91 over the last month. Additionally, the Canadiens 5th-best 61.59 CF/60 is impressive and should help bury the Red Wings tonight. The line of most interest is comprised of Max Domi, Paul Byron and Andrew Shaw. On the surface, this line doesn't seem that appealing but given that they remain in-tact on the top power play unit is intriguing. Utilizing this and rolling with a line that has full-game correlation can give you elite upside which is needed to finish at or near the top of a large-field tournament.

This centre is thriving after being traded in the offseason.

Max Domi is thriving in Montreal after being traded for Alex Galchenyuk in the summer. He leads the Habs in points with 47 in 53 games and is second on the team in goals with 17. He has been playing a lot with fellow newcomer Tomas Tatar, who is tied for second on the team in points with 39 and is third in goals with 16. These two are playing alongside Paul Byron as the Canadiens host the Anaheim Ducks, a team that is on the tail-end of a back to back after getting stomped by the Toronto Maple Leafs last night 6-1.

This centre is fitting right in on his new team.

Max Domi has been fantastic for the Montreal Canadiens in his first season on the team. He leads the team with 35 points in 37 games and is second with 14 goals. He's been playing with Jonathan Drouin and Paul Byron on the Habs top line, and they've been solid together. Drouin and Domi both play on the top power play unit and while the full line stack is a good play, the two man mini-stack of those two with their PP correlation makes for a solid play.

Do Not Overlook This Inexpensive Line Tonight

With their high event style of play, the Pittsburgh Penguins have struggled at times with their defensive game, and that puts the Montreal Canadiens offense in play this evening at the PPG Paints Arena. The Penguins have allowed the ninth-most goals against per game since the All-Star break and the sixth-most goals against per game this month. On top of that, they are ranked 29th on the penalty kill this month. Skating on the Canadiens top line and number one power play unit, Paul Byron has multi-point upside at a discounted price.

Low Owned Value Line Stack In Great Spot

If you're looking for value on tonight's seven game slate, look to the third line of Montreal which features Brendan Gallagher, Tomas Plekanec, and Paul Byron. Entering tonight's game with 10 points in as many games, the diminutive Gallagher is the primary driver of offense and will be taking on a depleted Minnesota Wild team that will be playing on the tail end of back to back games on the road. With Montreal dealing with a number of injuries themselves, this line should remain intact for tonight's game and could see a boost in ice time, making this trio a solid low risk, high reward line stack to target with their very reasonable price tags.

Value Line Stack In Great Spot

If you're looking for value on offense tonight, consider taking Montreal's top scoring line featuring Jonathan Drouin, Artturi Lehkonen, and Paul Byron. Severely discounted, this line leads Montreal in scoring chances through the team's first 11 games this season. They draw a great matchup against a banged up Senators team that has allowed the third most scoring changes on tonight's slate. In a game that many may overlook in favor of higher projected scoring games, this trio should have no problems paying off their very reasonable price tags in a very winnable game for the Habs.

Inexpensive With Big game Upside

The Montreal Canadiens top line continues to dominate, driving play as well as almost any line in the National Hockey League. Arturri Lekhonen and Paul Byron may not be household names, but they have looked fantastic skating alongside Jonathan Drouin, and they both sit in the top 11 overall in individual high-danger scoring chances for, putting themselves in some elite company. The Canadiens top line is also very inexpensive to stack and they have multi-goal potential tonight at the Canadian Tire Center. The Ottawa Senators have struggled with their defensive zone coverage in 2017-18, surrendering the second-highest CA/60, while allowing the seventh-most SCA/60. If you are looking for some value pieces in cash games, or a potentially lower owned cheap line stack, this is one of my favorite spots.
