IND K Michael Badgley to kick on Thursday; K Rodrigo Blankenship (hip) ruled out
Michael Badgley will handle the kicking duties for the Colts again on Thursday night against the New York Jets. Rodrigo Blankenship, who is still dealing with a hip injury, has been ruled out and will miss his 4th straight game. It is also worth noting that HC Frank Reich stated that Indianapolis is unsure what they will do at the kicker position when Blankenship is available to play. Badgley can be considered for the Thursday night showdown slate in a game where (at the time of writing) the Colts are 14.5 point favorites.
IND WR T.Y. Hilton activated off IR; K Rodrigo Blakenship placed on IR; K Michael Badgley elevated from practice squad
T.Y. Hilton has been activated off IR and will play Sunday against the Houston Texans. Hilton could be on some sort of snap count as he is making his season debut but should slot in as the number two receiving option for the Colts behind Michael Pittman. This will likely lead to Zach Pascal and Paris Campbell seeing fewer snaps and hurting their value going forward. In addition to Hilton's return the Colts also made some moves involving their kicking position, Rodrigo Blakenship has been placed on IR and will be forced to miss at least the next three games with a hip injury and Michael Badgley has been elevated from the practice squad and should handle the kicking duties this week for Indianapolis.
