Ryan Donato Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
New acquisiton has already matched point total in 26 fewer games
With Ryan Donato's two assists last night, he is now up to 9 points (2G, 7A) in just 8 games with the surging Minnesota Wild, who miraculously are eyeing a playoff birth after it had looked like the tank was in full effect. Donato has been a big part of this as his nine points in just eight games matched his point total in 34 games earlier this season with the Bruins. Since being acquired by Minnesota, the Wild have not lost in regulation, going 5-0-2 with the two losses coming in a shootout against the Nashville Predators. At sub-$4,000 prices on both DraftKings and FanDuel, Donato is a strong source of salary relief.
Ex-Bruin shined in debut with new team
Ryan Donato logged just under 17 minutes of ice time last night at Madison Square Garden. He took three shots on goal and dished out two helpers, including one with the man-advantage as he skated on the top power play. Donato has talent but really struggled to put it together this season with Boston. With his new team, Donato should get more opportunity to produce especially with Minnesota very much out of the playoff picture. Donato is just $2,600 on DraftKings which makes him a worthwhile punt in the large field tournaments. After all, last time out we saw the Red Wings really struggle with Chicago's depth lines.
Boston native a decent punt option on stacked slate
Ryan Donato skates on the third line, but he is seeing time on the team's top power play with David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand. Donato has been a big disappointment this season, culminated by a send down to the AHL for a month, but he's back and seeing decent ice time. In December alone, Ryan has 30 shots on goal in nine games, recording a subpar two goals and two assists. The Ducks have played much better of late, but they are in a tough spot here after a daunting schedule recently. Donato has a punt price across the industry, and even if he doesn't find the scoresheet, he's starting to show the aggressiveness that saw him grab nine points in 12 games last season.
Big savings on this young Boston winger
Ryan Donato impressed after his call-up last season, tallying nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) in just 12 games. He has already found the back of the net this season and draws an excellent matchup against a leaky Ottawa defense. While Donato is priced accordingly on DraftKings ($5,300), FanDuel seems to have missed the memo about Donato. Ryan plays on the team's loaded top power play unit with Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak. At just $3,700 on FanDuel, Donato is a great avenue to load up elsewhere as Boston can name the score this afternoon.
Boston youngster has four points in his first two NHL games
In his first two games in the National Hockey League, Ryan Donato has gathered two goals and two assists with eight shots on goal while logging just under 36 minutes of ice time. Donato is no stranger to points as he powered Harvard University to 83 points (47 goals, 36 assists) in 65 games and scored five goals in five games for the United States Olympic Hockey Team. Although Donato's ice time is not set in stone, he is a nice bargain and good way to gain exposure to a Boston team which sits second in the Western Conference with 100 points. The Dallas Stars have dropped six consecutive games, and Ben Bishop, who has been rock solid on home ice, is once again injured. Donato is a viable option in all formats.
Boston rookie seems ready for the big league
Ryan Donato made a big splash in his National Hockey League debut, potting a goal and two helpers as he filled in for newly-acquired Rick Nash who was scratched. Donato is no stranger to producing as he accumulated 83 points (47 goals, 36 assists) in 65 games playing for the Harvard Crimson. Even if Nash suits up, Donato should see sufficient ice time since David Backes is on the shelf. Bruins' coach Bruce Cassidy had Ryan centering the team's top power play unit with a sizzling Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, so the upside is certainly there. The Blues may be fighting for their playoff lives, but Boston has shown they are not intimidated by any venue, as we saw last week when they blanked the Lightning 3-0 on the road. Donato is cheap across the industry and a great source of salary relief to grab the superstars required tonight (e.g. Evgeni Malkin).
