Ryan Hartman Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
This winger has been the most productive forward on his team.
The Nashville Predators have dealt with a bunch of injuries this season, with Viktor Arvidsson being limited to just 17 games, Filip Forsberg 26 games, Kyle Turris 30 and P.K. Subban only suiting up for 22 games. Forsberg and Turris are still out, but Arvidsson is back and playing on the top line with Ryan Johansen and Ryan Hartman. Arvidsson leads the team with a 1.00 points per game average, with 17 points in 17 games including 11 goals which is actually tied for second on the team. The Preds visit Detroit to take on the Red Wings, a team with just a 47.25 CF% over the last three weeks and not getting blown out every game because of the play of Jimmy Howard. Despite their injuries, the Predators have still managed to score 13 goals over their last 3 games and look to continue that recent scoring surge tonight.
This winger is healthy again and in a great spot.
Viktor Arvidsson leads the Nashville Predators in points per game with 15 in 16 games. He'll be skating on the top line with Ryan Johansen and Ryan Hartman as the usual left winger Filip Forsberg is hurt. The Preds are fifth in the NHL with a 53.39 CF% and in a game with two teams on the tail end of a back to back it could be sloppy with both teams playing poor defensively.
Taking on the worst defensive team in the NHL is big boost.
The Nashville Predators are missing four of their top eight skaters due to injury and have struggled recently because of it. They are just 5-5-0 in their last 10 games and riding a two-game losing streak but that could all change as they host the defensively inept Ottawa Senators. The Sens are dead last in the league allowing 3.94 goals against per game. The Predators, when healthy, have a potent offence but luckily the matchup against the Sens should allow the depleted Preds ample scoring opportunities. The top line is Ryan Johansen, Kevin Fiala and Ryan Hartman and while this line isn't the greatest, the matchup is so good that this game should see plenty of goals.
Preds Revamp First Line
Due to injuries, the Preds first line looks quite different than usual. Instead of the usual Johansen, Arvidsson, Forsberg line, the Preds will be utilizing Ryan Hartman and Kevin Fiala as the wings surrounding Johansen. The absence of Arvidsson, Forsberg, and Kyle Turris has also opened up ice time for talented prospect Eeli Tolvanen, who is coming off a multi-point game against the Blackhawks. The matchup against a red-hot Buffalo team isn't ideal, but the prices for the Preds makes them appealing options in all formats.
Target This American Hero Tonight
Two seasons removed from becoming the the first American born player to earn the Hart Trophy as the league's MVP, Patrick Kane continues to be a force offensively for an inconsistent Blackhawks team. Aside from his unparalleled playmaking abilities, a major component of Kane's strong start to this season is the fact that he leads all Chicago forwards in ice time despite not factoring into the team's penalty kill. Tonight "Kaner" will have a great opportunity to keep his fantastic overall season going against a depleted Ottawa squad that owns the second worst xGA/60 over their last 15 games on tonight's slate. Skating alongside playmakers Nick Schmaltz and Ryan Hartman on Chicago's second line and top power play unit, look for this trio to breakout on the man advantage against an Ottawa penalty kill that ranks 28th in the NHL this year and has allowed seven power play goals over their last five games.
Value for Patrick Kane's wingman
Frankly, I simply don't understand why he's still so under-priced across the industry, but I'll accept the discount as the Hawks invade the T-Mobile Arena to battle the Golden Knights tonight. Hartman has scored three goals and dished out six assists in nine games this season and it wouldn't be all that surprising to see him keep a point-per-game pace as long as he sticks on the opposite wing of Patrick Kane. Pairing Hartman with Patrick Kane is a great way to soften Kane's massive cap-hit.
"American Hero" In Great Spot
Two seasons removed from becoming the the first American born player to earn the Hart Trophy as the league’s MVP, Patrick Kane continues to be a force offensively for a new look Blackhawks team. Aside from his unparalleled playmaking abilities, a major component of Kane's strong start to this season is the fact that he is averaging among the most ice time per game among NHL forwards despite not factoring into the team's penalty kill. Tonight "Kaner" will have a great opportunity to keep his solid start to year going against an Oilers team that can be exposed on the road and ranks dead last in penalty kill percentage this season. Skating alongside young playmakers Nick Schmaltz and Ryan Hartman, home ice advantage will allow head coach Joel Quenneville to get Kane and his best scoring line matched up against one of the weaker defensive lines of Edmonton, further increasing Kane's potential in a game Chicago should dominate from start to finish.
Thriving as Patrick Kane's wing-man
It's been pretty well known that playing alongside Patrick Kane is a recipe for fantasy success, and after scoring a goal and adding five assists in the first two games of the season, Ryan Hartman is clearly reaping the benefits. Hartman is a former first-round draft pick who quietly tallied 19 goals and 170 SOG in a limited role last season and Joel Quenneville seems to be a believer in his skill-set. Hartman's 16.39 iCF/60 was the highest mark among all Blackhawk's last season and highlights his aggressive offensive style that should continue to blossom with Kane on his wing.
