CHI WR Allen Robinson, TE Jesse James, RB Ryan Nall, and WR Isaiah Coulter placed on COVID list

Allen Robinson, Jesse James, Ryan Nall, and Isaiah Coulter have all been placed on the COVID list ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. With Robinson likely out Darnell Mooney will be the top receiver for the Bears and will need to be considered as on of the better options on the showdown slate. With Jesse James likely unavailable, the bulk of the tight end snaps should be handled by Cole Kmet and Jimmy Graham. Ryan Nall would only be used as an emergency running back so his potential absence is not DFS relevant at this time. Isaiah Coulter would have served as receiver depth so his absence also would not be DFS relevant.

CHI TE Jesper Horsted, QB Andy Dalton, and RB Ryan Nall inactive Sunday

Jesper Horsted, Andy Dalton, and Ryan Nall are all inactive for Sunday night's game against the Green Bay Packers. Justin Fields was always planned to be the starter this weekend so Dalton's absence will mean Nick Foles will be Field's backup. Horsted was only expected to serve as tight end depth and without him he Bears will still have four active tight ends with Cole Kmet and Jimmy Graham seeing the bulk of the work. With Damien Williams back from injury, Nall will no longer be needed as the emergency running back for the Bears.

Allen Robinson and Ryan Nall have been listed as questionable for Sunday and J.P. Holtz has been listed as out. Allen Robinson and Ryan Nall who are both questionable are expected to play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Darnell Mooney, who was not listed on injury report after logging DNPs earlier in the week, is also good to go and should play an important role in the passing game for the Bears. Damien William is not expected to play after testing positive for COVID yesterday. The backfield should be led by Khalil Herbert with Ryan Nall set to back him up. Herbert is a great value option this week.

Bears plan to elevate Lamar Miller from practice squad for Monday night, and the RB will be needed after David Montgomery was ruled out. Beside Miller, the Bears will also have Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce at RB, plus WR Cordarrelle Patterson will see work in the rushing game. Making the situation even more complex, Lamar Miller hasn't played since 2018, making it difficult to know what type of workload he can handle.

David Montgomery, Mitch Trubisky ruled out for Monday night

The Bears RB situation is a mess with David Montgomery now ruled out for Monday night. WR Cordarrelle Patterson is consistently part of the run game and should see an increase in rush attempts. Lamar Miller could be promoted to the active roster, although nothing is official yet. Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce are the other active RBs, and it is hard to imagine the Bears will want to lean too heavily on either player in the run game. News on Lamar Miller should help clarify this situation, although it is hard to know how he will perform in potentially his first game since 2018.
