Sean O'Hair is no longer in the field
Sean O'Hair has pulled out of this week's Waste Management Phoenix Open. Kelly Kraft will take his place in the field. At this time there is no injury news associated with O'Hair's decision to opt-out this week. Kraft will be added to round 2 showdown player pools.
Five Minutes to roster lock, no major news to report
Outside of Sean O'Hair's withdrawing late on Wednesday, it's all quiet on the new front ahead of the opening round of this year's WMPO. ResultsDB will be up and running shortly after roster lock. Showdown players can look to gain a small edge by attacking some later tee times in each of the first two rounds. With perfect weather in play this week you will normally see cooler temps in the morning which can make the course play a little harder. Nothing that should sway you off a golfer, but it's worth noting that historically we have seen some low scores in the afternoon as conditions warm up. Good luck this week Grinders!!!
Sean O'Hair is no longer in the field
Sean O'Hair will not play in this week's WMPO. One would assume this late in the week that O'Hair has some kind of injury or illness keeping him out of the event. At this time we have no news to go on, and his replacement ( Robby Shelton) will not be available in DFS pricing pools.
Fifteen minutes to roster lock and no major news to report
With a little over fifteen minutes until the roster lock, it’s quiet on the news front. Outside of John Huh, J.J Spaun, and Sean O'Hair withdrawing earlier in the week, there has been no player movement to report. ResultsDB will be up and running within 10 minutes of roster lock. Sean O'Hair is no longer in the field
Sean O'Hair has decided to take a pass on The Valspar Championship. He has been out since The Honda, so with his past success at this event, you would figure that he is not quite healthy enough to return to action. O'Hair was replaced in the field by Shawn Stefani.
Texas Comfort
If you want to declare a King of Texas, O’Hair would have to be up for the nomination. Looking at his last eight starts in the Lone Star State, he is 8-for-8 with five notable finishes inside the top 20. He said this while contending here last year, “I always feel comfortable in Texas. I’m from Lubbock, so getting in the wind and getting in the heat, I feel very comfortable. It’s obviously great food and great people here, so it’s always a pleasure to come back to Texas and play.” Comfort level is a huge factor which shouldn’t be overlooked when searching for value.
Arnold Palmer Invitational WD update: All clear through Wednesday afternoon
Up to this point, all golfers in the API field are expected to tee it up on Thursday. There was some concern regarding Sean O’Hair after his WD at the Valspar Championship citing a neck injury. But O’Hair has given no indications this week of pulling out of the API. Even though O’Hair has made the cut in his last five attempts at Bay Hill, his ownership will be very low due to the risk of re-injury. Jason Day participated in his press conference today and seems to be fully recovered from the flu and double ear infection that caused his WGC-Mexico Championship WD two weeks ago. Kevin Na has also recuperated from his illness last week. We’ll keep you updated regarding any WD news throughout the evening and up to roster lock.
