Sixers to claim Sonny Weems off waivers, will release Christian Wood
This news doesn't have any DFS impact at this point, but if Weems is able to carve out a consistent spot in the rotation he could provide some value later in the season. Christian Wood will try to latch on somewhere else.
T.J Warren out for the season with a broken foot
T.J. Warren will miss the rest of the season with a broken foot. This will mean more time for the likes of Mirza Teletovic, Sonny Weems, and even Markieff Morris. The Suns are an injured mess right now and have been constantly changing their lineups. The only constant has been P.J. Tucker, who is averaging 36.8 minutes over his last five games. Tucker saw 42 minutes this past Sunday but had minimal impact, scoring just 2 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. Tucker should be able to bounce back from that tonight against the Raptors and is a solid mid-range option.
Brandon Knight, Mirza Teletovic and Markieff Morris all questionable tonight; Jon Leuer doubtful
Brandon Knight has been added to the Suns injury report today with an adductor strain - he's officially listed as questionable. If he can't go, Archie Goodwin would likely start at the point while Devin Booker would also see an uptick in playing time. Sonny Weems would also be a candidate to see more court time. Almost the entire Suns front-court is questionable/doubtful tonight; while it's safe to assume Jon Leuer won't suit up, Markieff Morris, T.J. Warren and Mirza Teletovic are all genuinely questionable. If any combination of them can't go, P.J. Tucker would likely see huge minutes again tonight. The two centers may also see increased court time as a result.
