Timothy Lopes Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Cheap Leverage Stack

With the news that Chatwood will be pitching instead of Darvish today, much of the attention will gravitate towards the underpriced Brewers hitters. In the same range, however, you can play a 5-man Mariners stack in large-field GPPs at a similar price that currently rates out by SlateIQ with the 2nd highest win expectation and leverage. Austin Nola & Tim Lopes both will have the platoon advantage under $4k and since Martin has a groundball lean, I'd pair them up with high flyball hitters such as Seager, Murphy, Vogelbach & Moore (depending on who cracks the lineup).

Leadoff Hitter At This Price Point

Lopes should hit leadoff for Seattle tonight, which makes him one of the best value plays on this slate. Castillo is going to open, but he should still get at least two at bats against Beeks. He has struggled with right-handed pitching, but he does have a very low strikeout rate against righties. He has a .286 ISO with a .419 wOBA against lefties since being called up. Hitting leadoff at this price on the road, he's certainly someone to look at tonight.

Extremely Cheap Leverage Stack

The low end of SP today is ugly enough that you may want to pay up in both slots, which means you'll need to find cheap stacks. At as little as $17k on DraftKings, the Mariners fit this bill with the lineup they're throwing out today with Lopes leading off and Nola batting 3rd. Thomas Pannone, who will providing the bulk of the innings for the Jays, has only an 18% K rate to righties on 50% fly balls and a .204 ISO over a two-year sample size. Being that he might be a popular option at SP2 today on DK, this 5-man Mariners stack provides additional leverage for large field GPPs.
