Lions Promote RB Paul Perkins from Practice Squad, Place RB Tra Carson on IR
DFS players pounded rookie RB Ty Johnson's name into a ton of lineups last week after Kerryon Johnson was placed on IR, but he turned out to be bad chalk. With tournament players flocking heavily to the Lions/Raiders game and Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels projected to see over 55% ownership on some sites, Johnson makes for an interesting pivot off of Samuels and leverage play off of the Lions passing game. Now that Carson is out of the picture, Ty Johnson has a clearer path to meeting value due to his projected volume increase.
Tra Carson (Hamstring) Limited in Practice Friday, Questionable Sunday
Carson was on the injury report for the second straight day due to a hamstring injury. He is questionable Sunday, and Ty Johnson would be the lead back if he is out, while J.D. McKissic would also see more touches.

Packers Sign Ryan Grant, Waive Tra Carson
Carson was buried on the RB depth chart and only needed when there were multiple injuries ahead of him. The Packers are dealing with multiple WR injuries and ineffective play by their healthy WR's. Grant played two games to start the season with the Raiders, catching 4 of 9 targets for just 14 yards. It is hard to imagine Grant as more than a bottom of the WR depth chart player.
Davante Adams, Dexter Williams and Robert Tonyan Inactive For Packers Tonight
Adams, Williams and Tonyan are all inactive tonight for the Packers. Tra Carson will be RB3, Marcedes Lewis the TE2 and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will fill the WR1 role with Geronimo Allison also getting a boost in usage with Adams out.

Packers Promote RB Tra Carson to the Active Roster
The injury to Jamaal Williams has some fantasy owners excited to play a #freeAaronJones, however, Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur has been vocal about managing Jones' workload. The workhorse potential is the primary interest in Jones this week since the Cowboys allow just the third-highest rushing success rate and the Packers rank near the bottom of the league in rushing efficiency. Carson's addition is slightly concerning to Jones' volume potential, but he still remains a viable tournament target.
