Finding Value in Memphis

Thanks to all of the injuries to the Grizzlies' wing players, Tyler Dorsey has been given a chance to shine. His production has been volatile game-to-game, but we can project him to play around 30 minutes tonight against the Thunder. Over his last four games, Dorsey has averaged 26 minutes and 23 fantasy points. The Thunder have struggled to contain shooting guards this season and we have a serious lack of value in tonight's four-game slate.

Mike Conley ruled out Friday

Mike Conley has been officially ruled out of tonight's game. Delon Wright and Tyler Dorsey will get the start in the Memphis backcourt tonight. Both players become instant sources of value tonight and can be considered in all formats. Priced down a bit lower than Wright, Dorsey has a slight advantage of being a better point per dollar play for the evening.

Noah's absence further solidifies JVal's value and also puts Ivan Rabb squarely on the DFS radar. Wright and Dorsey are both viable punt plays across the industry, but Dorsey may offer better $/point value on DraftKings where he's priced at the minimum and Wright sits at $4,900.

Wright to start at PG and Dorsey at SG with Conley on the shelf. Joakim Noah’s potential absence further solidifies JVal’s value and also puts Ivan Rabb squarely on the DFS radar. Joakim Noah (heel), Jevon Carter (knee), and Tyler Dorsey (knee) available to play Friday

Noah, Carter, and Dorsey have all officially been upgraded from probable and will be available to play in Friday's matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers despite dealing with their respective ailments, though Carter and Corsey don’t project to have significant, if any, roles in the rotation with Chandler Parsons and Mike Conley making their returns to the lineup this evening. In Jaren Jackson’s absence, Bruno Caboclo will receive the starting nod at power forward, and his playing time had been sporadic of late, as he logged 10 minutes or fewer in two of the previous three games prior to the All-Star break. However, with Jonas Valanciunas also unavailable, Caboclo, Noah, and Ivan Rabb all project to have substantial minute floors in a depleted Grizzlies frontcourt, while Parsons should see nominal minutes at the forward positions in what will be just his fourth game of the season.

Pivot Off The Chalk Value

With Dennis Schroder already ruled out, there is a lot of usage and minutes to go around for the Atlanta guards tonight. Schroder has a 32% usage rate this season, and he's averaging 31 minutes per game. Dorsey has played at least 25 minutes in three straight games, and has double-digit shot attempts in each of those games. He played 29 minutes with Schroder out on Sunday, and if he gets hot, he could outscore some of the chalky value options, which makes him very interesting tonight.

Might Be The Last Time To Play Me

Tyler Dorsey moved into the Marco Belinelli role against Memphis last time, and with Belinelli already ruled out for tonight's game, I think Dorsey is a great tournament play. It's an extremely risky play, but Dorsey was well on his way to 26 minutes before the blowout the other night against Memphis. There is a lot of value options on this slate, and I think Dorsey will be under 5% owned. Orlando is 27th in defensive efficiency this season.
