Vincent Trocheck Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
This line may fly under the radar once again
The Florida Panthers face the New York Rangers tonight. While both of Florida’s top lines are in play once again, Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Frank Vatrano tend to always garnish less ownership. I’ll take the salary discount and lower ownership in tournaments. New York has struggled with puck possession (CA/60 of 61.19). The Rangers Henrik Lundqvist gave up five goals the other night before getting pulled. Whether it’s Lundqvist or Alexandar Georgiev in net, Florida will have opportunities to put the puck in the back of the net. Keith Yandle is the defenseman you want, as he is the power-play quarterback on the first unit, along with Huberdeau and Trocheck.
This Line May Get Over Looked Tonight
The Florida Panthers will welcome in the New York Islanders tonight. While both of Florida’s top lines are in play, Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Frank Vatrano tend to always garnish less ownership. I’ll take the salary discount and lower ownership in tournaments. Florida’s possession numbers remain strong, CF/60 of 59.79. While New York carries a CA/60 at 63.17. Keith Yandle is the defenseman you want, as he is the power-play quarterback on the first unit, along with Huberdeau and Trocheck.
This team rolls a five-forward power play unit.
The Florida Panthers have been rolling with a five-forward power play unit which is comprised of Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, Mike Hoffman, Aleksander Barkov and Evgeny Davonov. This is fantastic for Trocheck and his linemates as the three play together not only at even strength but the entire line is on the top power play unit. This gives them elite upside as they are on the ice together and furthermore gives the stack a boost. They are hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets who are a great team but going with their backup in Joonas Korpisalo who hasn't been great in his NHL career with just a 2.85 goals against average and a .910 save percentage.
PP Upside Line Stack
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup from the masses that will likely be rostering Florida's top line in tournaments tonight, consider taking the second line from Florida which features Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Frank Vatrano. After a slow start to the year, Trocheck has come on strong in recent games and now has 12 points over his past 10 games. Also featured on Florida's top power play unit, Trocheck and Huberdeau should have no problems improving upon their team lead in power play points against an Islanders penalty kill that ranks dead last in the NHL and has surrendered six power play goals in as many games.
Power Play Potential
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup from the masses that will likely be rostering Florida's top line in tournaments tonight, consider taking the second line from Florida which features Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Denis Malgin. After a slow start to the year, Trocheck has come on strong in recent games and now has 11 points over his past 10 games. Also featured on Florida's top power play unit, Trocheck and Huberdeau should have no problems improving upon their team lead in power play points against a Montreal penalty kill that has dipped to 30th in the NHL and has surrendered 13 power play goals over their past nine games.
Target This Line's Power Play Potential
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading Florida in a great home matchup, consider taking the second line which features Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Denis Malgin. After a slow start to the year, Trocheck has come on strong in recent games and now has 33 points in as many home games entering tonight. Not typically required to play the "tough" minutes against the opposition's top scoring threats, Trocheck won't be tasked with shutting down Matt Duchene tonight on home ice. This benefits Florida's second line, who should be very busy on the man advantage against an Ottawa penalty kill that ranks 28th in the NHL this season.
Target This Duo's Power Play Potential
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading Florida in a great home matchup, consider taking the second line which features Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Radim Vrbata. After a slow start to the year, Trocheck has come on strong in recent games and now has 29 points in 31 home games entering tonight. Not typically required to play the "tough" minutes against the opposition's top scoring threats, Trocheck won't be tasked with shutting down Jonathan Drouin tonight on home ice. This benefits Florida's second line, who should be very busy on the man advantage against a Montreal penalty kill that ranks 27th in the NHL this season.
Pivot To This Line In Great Matchup
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup from the masses that will likely be rostering Florida's top line in tournaments tonight, consider taking the second line from Florida which features Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Radim Vrbata. After a slow start to the year, Trocheck has come on strong in recent games and now has 10 points in as many games entering tonight. Not typically required to play the "tough" minutes against the opposition's top scoring threats, Trocheck won't be tasked with shutting down Taylor Hall tonight on home ice. This benefits Florida's second line, who will instead be allowed to carry the load offensively against a hapless New Jersey defense that has allowed the most shot attempts and the most scoring chances among road teams on tonight's slate.
On the Florida Panthers, this may be the most overlooked player
Don't get me wrong, people know about Vincent Trocheck. However, Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau, Aaron Ekblad, all of these players seem to get more coverage and attention than Trocheck. He leads the team in goals with 21, in shots with 196 and is second in points with 51, just two behind Huberdeau. Trocheck is playing on a line with Jonathan Huberdeau and Denis Malgin, and the trio have been playing real well. The Panthers are in Vancouver tonight, a team that cannot keep the puck out of the net. Jacob Markstrom is expected to be in net tonight, and he has a 2.71 GAA and a .910 save percentage on the season. This could be a high scoring game as both teams struggle with goaltending, so going with a full line stack of Trocheck, Huberdeau and Malgin is certainly a top play. You can even go with a game stack and pair them with a line from the Canucks if you think it'll be the highest scoring game on this three-game slate, which it very well could be.
Target This Team's Power Play Tonight
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup from the masses that will likely be rostering Florida's top line in tournaments tonight, consider taking the second line from Florida which features Vincent Trocheck, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Denis Malgin. After a slow start to the year, Trocheck has come on strong in recent games and now has 48 points in 52 games this season. Typically required to play the "tough" minutes against the opposition's top scoring threats, Trocheck won't be tasked with shutting down Connor McDavid tonight on the road. This benefits Florida's second line, who will instead be allowed to carry the load offensively against a hapless Edmonton defense that has allowed the most shot attempts and owns the second worst xGA/60 over their past 15 games on tonight's slate. Also featured on Florida's top power play unit, Trocheck and Huberdeau should have no problems improving upon their team lead in power play points against an Edmonton penalty kill that ranks dead last in the NHL this season.
