Could This Superstar Go Overlooked Tonight?

If you're looking to differentiate your lineup in tournaments tonight, consider taking the top line of the Blues, which features Brayden Schenn, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Vladimir Sobotka. This trio has found instant chemistry this season, entering tonight's game generating among the most scoring chances in the league this season. A matchup on the road against a potent Edmonton team may seem daunting, but the Oilers have suffered from poor defensive play in their own zone throughout much of this season and has struggled in the penalty kill department. In a game that may go overlooked due to a difficult perceived matchup, look for the Blues to keep rolling and easily pay off their steep price tags.

A value option on a St. Louis team that will be very popular tonight

St. Louis will likely be very popular this evening, and Vladimir Sobotka is one of the few value plays to consider from their lineup. The veteran forward has posted three goals and seven assists in 16 games this season and is averaging nearly 18 minutes of ice-time per game as well. He looks very comfortable alongside Alex Steen and Paul Stastny on Mike Yeo's second forward line and is also seeing a healthy dose of playing time with the second power-play unit which bodes well for him given Arizona's ugly 75.0% penalty kill.

Skating with superstar sniper creates opportunity

Vladimir Sobotka is back with the Blues and has been given an opportunity to skate with Vladimir Tarasenko at even-strength and on the team’s top power-play unit. In the Blues' first game, Sobotka did not take a shot on goal, but he did pick up two assists. Skating with Tarasenko will provide the 30-year-old with many more opportunities to contribute. Sobotka spent last season in the KHL where he posted 30 points (9 goals, 21 assists) in 41 regular season games as well as 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) in 12 games for Avangard Omsk. Thereafter, the Blues brought him back for 11 playoff games which saw Sobotka hit the scoresheet six times (2 goals, 4 assists). Sobotka costs next-to-nothing across the industry (FanDuel - $3,700, DraftKings - $4,200, and FantasyDraft - $8,500) which is particularly useful for this star-studded Saturday slate.
