TE Tyler Conklin officially active for Sunday; RB Wayne Gallman inactive

As expected, Tyler Conklin is officially active for Sunday night's game against the Green Bay Packers, while Wayne Gallman has been listed inactive. Conklin seemed to be trending in the right direction the entire week and will be able to suit up tonight. He should be in line to see a good amount of targets with Adam Thielen out for the rest of the year. Conklin can be considered on the showdown slate and has the potential to catch a touchdown or two. Gallman wasn't expected to play a major role in the Minnesota backfield, as Dalvin Cook should remain the lead back with Alexander Mattison available to back him up. Cook, as always, needs to be considered as he can break any showdown slate.

ATL TE Hayden Hurst activated from IR to 53-man roster; RB Qadree Ollison signed to active roster from practice squad; RB Wayne Gallman has been released

In a flurry of moves the Falcons have activated Hayden Hurst from IR to 53-man roster, signed Qadree Ollison to the active roster from the practice squad, and released Wayne Gallman. Hurst should immediately come in and serve as the backup tight end to Kyle Pitts. Hurst should be a part of the offense but not a big enough piece to be considered in DFS contests. The writing has been on the wall over the past few weeks that Ollison had supplanted Gallman as the third back in the Atlanta backfield and this move makes it official. Ollison will continue to see work but not enough to be DFS relevant at this time.

ATL RB Wayne Gallman inactive Sunday

Wayne Gallman will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This seemed like a likely outcome after Qadree Ollison was elevated yesterday. The Falcons really like the young back and he should serve as the third running back behind Cordarrelle Patterson and Mike Davis. This is an incredibly tough matchup against the stingy Tampa Bay run defense though so it is possible all Atlanta backs struggle.

ATL RB Wayne Gallman active Sunday

Gallman will be active for the first time all year, a worrisome sign for the Falcons other RBs. Gallman may not play too much, but he is not likely to be used on special teams, and may steal some work from both Mike Davis and Cordarelle Patterson.

Wayne Gallman and Frank Darby will be inactive when the Falcons take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Mike Davis will lead the backfield with Cordarrelle Patterson set to back him up. Calvin Ridley, Kyle Pitts, and Russell Gage should dominate the target share in the passing game.

Devonta Freeman ruled out for Monday night

Devonta Freeman has been ruled out for Monday night, setting Wayne Gallman up to be the lead back for the Giants this week. The Giants are significant underdogs, which typically creates a bad game script for a RB, although Gallman is helped by being fairly active in the passing game. He caught all 5 of his targets last week, although they totaled just 20 yards. Dion Lewis should work as the second RB, with Elijhaa Penny and Alfred Morris also options to get snaps.

Golden Tate Active, Wayne Gallman Inactive Sunday

As expected, Golden Tate is active Sunday, and will make his season debut. The Giants are underdogs against the Bears, and an early deficit would force Jones into passing frequently all game. With Tate back, the Giants should have all their top weapons, which could help an offense that scored just 16 points in week 1 while gaining just 291 total yards.

Wayne Gallman (Concussion) Clears Protocol, Available Sunday

Gallman cleared the concussion protocol and will play Sunday. Saquon Barkley is returning from injury, so Gallman will be back in the RB2 role, limiting him to just a couple touches.
