I liken Will Fuller to Robbie Ray in baseball – on a full slate, he’s never a cash game play. In tourneys, hammer him when nobody is touting him – fade him when everyone is, much like this week. Even if you played Fuller at such an inflated ownership, it was no guarantee you placed in tourneys because so many other players in good spots blew up, which completely defeats the purpose of rostering such a volatile player. And if you rostered him in cash, that is a -EV play that worked out for you on this one-week sample.
Large-field Single-Entry tourneys were won this week with cash game lineups that contained no correlation whatsoever. Just an insanely crazy slate so I hope people don’t get too overwhelmed with their results whether they were good or bad.
