March Madness is just over a month away and there are some pivotal games Saturday that will impact seeding, highlighted by a much-anticipated rematch between Duke and Virginia. The Blue Devils are a betting underdog for just the second time this season as Virginia opened a 2-point favorite at home.

No. 2 Duke Blue Devils at No. 3 Virginia Cavaliers, 6:00 p.m. ET

Opening Line: Virginia -2

This game is a rematch of the 72-70 thriller Duke won at home on Jan. 19. Not only was it one of the best games of the season, it also featured one of the worst beats. The Blue Devils closed as 3.5-point favorites and led by four in the final seconds but De’Andre Hunter’s shot at the buzzer covered the spread for Virginia backers.

Zion Williamson (27) and R.J. Barrett (30) combined for 57 points in the first meeting to lead Duke. Hunter scored a team-high 18 points for Virginia, including the three-point dagger for Duke bettors as time expired. Saturday’s winner will take over sole possession of first place in the ACC.

Since the loss, Virginia has rattled off four straight wins but the Cavaliers are just 2-2 ATS. Overall though, Virginia is a profitable 16-5 ATS and 8-3 versus the number at home on the season.

Duke hasn’t been an underdog since its opening game versus Kentucky. The Blue Devils crushed Kentucky 118-84 as 2.5-point dogs. Duke has covered three straight and four of its last five since the ATS loss to Virginia.

Despite featuring multiple future NBA lottery picks, the Blue Devils are surprisingly one of the top under teams in the country. Duke is 15-5-1 to the under this season. The first time the two teams met, the game went over the total of 136.

In his latest Bracketology, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has both teams firmly entrenched as No. 1 seeds. A loss on Saturday by Virginia or Duke won’t impact either team’s seeding.

Duke is also the clear favorite to win the NCAA Championship with odds of +180 at the Westgate LV SuperBook. Virginia is tied with Michigan State as the third betting choice at +800.
