What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 10.5
- Favored Team – COL -145
Pitcher Grind Down
- When there is an over/under that is this high, that should be a red flag to completely ignore both pitchers. Sorry Haren and Chacin. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
COL – Load up on hitters from both teams in this one. Dan Haren has been giving up a lot of HR’s and the Rockies could have a field day with this game being played in Coors Field. Cargo and Tulo both have 3 HR’s against him already.
WAS – I remember last season when the Nats came to Colorado and they went on a tear offensively. I think that will happen again this time around. Ryan Zimmerman, Adam LaRoche, Ian Desmond, and Jayson Werth are all in play. Take the cheaper two of the four.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.0
- Favored Team – OAK – 109
Pitcher Grind Down
OAK – Bartolo Colon is having his best season in quite some time. Is it just a coincidence that his name has been linked to PED’s? I won’t speculate, but he is 40 years old. Anywho, all that matters to us is how he will pitch tonight. I think he is actually a pretty decent play against the Yanks at home, just keep drinking that apple juice Colon. In Play
NYY – C.C. Sabathia is always in play thanks to his high K rate of 8 per 9 innings. The A’s are a tough team at home though so CC will really have to bring his A game if he wants to pick up the win. In Play
Batter Grind Down
- I’m not loving the hitters from either team in this one. The Yankees are always expensive and the A’s have started to rise in salary as well. I think the bats are overpriced and it will be a low scoring game.

HOU vs R | HOU BvP | SEA vs R | SEA BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – SEA -157
Pitcher Grind Down
SEA – The M’s pitchers have had great success so far in this series and there is no reason to think that is stops tonight. A lot of people are iffy about taking Aaron Harang, but minus his last start against the Yankees, he has been very good at home this season and faces the Astros who lead the league in strikeouts. Man up and take Harang tonight, he will be worth it. Target
HOU – Bud Norris rarely gets any fantasy love, but he has put together a pretty nice season. His problem is that he always seems to struggle on the road, even if he is pitching in pitcher’s parks. The M’s offense hasn’t been great lately, so I suppose Norris could be an against the grain play. In Play
Batter Grind Down
SEA – The M’s offense has been bad lately, but so has Norris on the road so something has to give here. Maybe take a shot on Kyle Seager or Kendrys Morales, but don’t get too crazy with it.
HOU – I’m sure some people are going to go the route of the Astros bats tonight, but I am telling you that we will see a dominant Harang tonight. Harangatang picks up the win, book it.

ATL vs R | ATL BvP | SDP vs R | SDP BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.0
- Favored Team – ATL -105
Pitcher Grind Down
SD – Andrew Cashner has been excellent at home this season. He is 3-1 with a 2.76 ERA and a 1.090 WHIP. He also gets the added bonus of the matchup with the Braves, they strike out more than any other team not named the Astros. The Padres offense has been putting runs up on the board lately and I really like the matchup for Cashner. Target
ATL – Tim Hudson has had two very solid starts in a row striking out 9 batters over 14 innings and only giving up one earned run. I think he has some pretty good value in this one, although I think he will be outpitched by Cashner. In Play
Batter Grind Down
SD – Low over/under and a game in Petco usually means we can expect a low scoring game. However, the Padres offense has been hot and Everth Cabrera seems to steal a base everytime he gets on. I think he picks up another steal tonight and is useful in H2H’s and double ups.
ATL – The Braves have terrible BvP against Cashner and he has been a rock at home. I’m avoiding the Braves bats today.

ARI vs R | ARI BvP | LAD vs R | LAD BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.0
- Favored Team – LAD -139
Pitcher Grind Down
LAD – Zack Greinke bounced back from those two bad starts to pitch 7 scoreless innings against the Braves. I think the rust is wearing off and we will start to see the dominant Greinke again. Vegas likes him in this one and I do too. He has been very good at Dodger Stadium over the last two seasons. Target
ARI – Just take a look at the “Last 14 Days” row of the table above. Kennedy’s recent performance has not been great and the Dodgers have been clicking ever since Mr. Puig was inserted in the lineup. I think Kennedy is an OK option on sites with more than 1 pitcher though. In Play
Batter Grind Down
LAD – Yasiel Puig, what will he do next. One thing is for sure: I want him on my team when he does it. He has been moved into the clean up spot so that could mean big things once again for Puig.
ARI – The D-Backs have a solid offense, but it can sometime disappear. I think there is value in cheap guys like Gerardo Parra and Miguel Montero, but don’t overspend here.
