Pitchers
- Home Brandon Maurer has been all over the place this season. He has had a couple of starts where he can barely make it out of the first inning and other starts where he pitches great. I typically like to stay away from high risk plays, but the matchup against the Padres is just too juicy. Oh and did I mention he is the cheapest pitcher available on some sites? In Play
- Away All you have to do is ready Volquez’s stats on the road this season to make you want to avoid him tonight. And his low K rate is icing on the cake. Avoid
Batters
- Home The Mariners have been putting up a decent number of runs lately and Kendrys Morales has been a big reason why. He is on fire right now. Michael Morse is another guy to target as he is cheap and can get you a homer.
- Away Even on nights when I expect the Padres to score runs, I can’t seem to predict which batters end up playing well. For that reason, I am going to avoid them tonight.

- Home Hyun-Jin Ryu has been very good at home this season. 2.13 ERA, averaging one K per inning, and keeping his WHIP low. His matchup is the only thing that scares me. The Angels have been putting up a ton of runs lately. I think he is in play, but not the best option. In Play
- Away Joe Blanton 1.886 WHIP is way too high for me. Even in games where he has had a decent fantasy performance, he has given up a ton of hits. I’m siding on the Dodgers offense in this one.
Batters
- Home Adrian Gonzalez is in the zone right now and should absolutely be targeted tonight against the terrible Blanton. A-Gon has 9 hits in his last 3 games including 2 doubles and 2 HR’s. Matt Kemp is also in play.
- Away Mike Trout is getting to be as expensive as Miggy, but he continues to produce so until he cools down, I think he is in play, especially in these large tournaments.
