Pitcher Grind Down
- Tom Koehler – Koehler pitched a gem in his last outing but is still only a marginal MLB pitcher at this point in his career. Pitcher Rating: 3 out of 10
- Stephen Strasburg – Strasburg has been dominant at home this year, posting a 1.55 ERA and .84 WHIP at Nationals Park. He’s missed the last two weeks with a forearm issue and any injury news should be taken very seriously when Strasburg is involved. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Giancarlo Stanton has punished Stephen Strasburg; going 7 for 18 with four doubles and two homeruns off of him.
Byrce Harper owns an OPS of .997 versus right handed pitching and is locked in right now at the plate.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Dillon Gee – Gee has been excellent down the stretch, posting a 8-4 record with a 2.50 ERA and 1.15 WHIP since the beginning of June. Proceed with caution though as the Phillies have had his number and roughed him up in all three prior meetings this season. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
- Tyler Cloyd – Cloyd has been shelled in back to back games and is not a strong fantasy option. Pitcher Rating: 3 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Right-Handed batters are hitting .325 off of Cloyd this year
Jimmy Rollins is 8 for 16 off of Dillon Gee
Right handed batters are hitting .325 off of Tyler Cloyd which makes David Wright and Josh Satin solid plays as they hit right in the middle of that Mets lineup

Pitcher Grind Down
- Chris Sale – Sale has mowed down the Tigers last week and has posted very impressive numbers against Detroit in four starts this week (3-1 record, 2.27 ERA and over a strikeout per inning) . There is reason for concern however as Sale was roughed up in his last outing and has struggled on the road. Pitcher Rating: 7 of 10
- Rick Porcello – Porcello has dominated the White Sox this season; in five starts he’s posted a 4-0 record along with a 2.02 ERA. He’s also pitched better in the second half but his high WHIP is concerning as is his low strikeout numbers. Pitcher Score: 5 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Lefties are hitting .308 off of Porcello in 2013.
Victor Martinez is 11 for 19 off of Chris Sale with a pair of doubles and a homerun

Pitcher Grind Down
- Homer Bailey – Bailey has been terrific down the stretch for the Reds, posting a 2.74 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in the second half. This series will have a playoff feel and scoring will likely be at a premium. Pitcher Rating: 7 out of 10
- A.J. Burnett – Burnett has been somewhat inconsistent this year, but has pitched much better at PNC park and has an exceptional strikeout rate. He was mediocre in his other two meetings against Cincinnati this year but his team is counting on him to bring his “A” game in a game that is crucial to Pittsburgh’s playoff positioning. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Brandon Phillips is a career 8 for 22 off of Burnett
Jay Bruce has been red-hot this week and has 10 RBI’s over the last four games.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Matt Garza – Garza has been dreadful in each of his last three outings and has been rather disappointing since joining the Texas Rangers. His strikeout rate is impressive, but his consistency is a concern. Pitcher Rating: 5 out of 10
* Jeremy Guthrie – Guthrie surrendered 13 hits in his last start, but had been pitching quite well coming into that game. His strikeout numbers leave a little to be desired, but he does own a 9-4 record at Kauffman Stadium. Pitcher Rating: 5 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Billy Butler is 8 for 20 off of Matt Garza.
Elvis Andrus is 8 for 17 with two doubles and a homerun off of Guthrie
