OAKLAND RAIDERS
The Oakland Raiders are fresh off a big division win over the Chargers. Terrelle Pryor and the Raiders looked great in the 1st half, the 2nd half was typical Raiders football, but they found a way to get the win. Pryor looks like the real deal. Oakland will have their hands full against a very good Chiefs team at Arrowhead in week 6.
Fantasy Relevant
QB – Terrelle Pryor is facing likely the best defense in terms of pressuring the QB. Pryor is a dual threat and he will need to use all his tools to avoid the KC pass rush. The Chiefs are ranked 4th against the pass and only allow 14.1 FPPG to the QB.
RBs – McFadden is likely out for week 6 with a hamstring injury. Jennings and Reece appear to be sharing the carries while Run DMC is out. OAK RBs only rushed 17 times in week 5. KC has the 8th best fantasy defense VS the run.
Receiving – Moore has been very good the last 3weeks, he is 8th in WR FPPG during that stretch. Streater is only averaging 3.2 receptions a game.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
The Chiefs blew a 13-0 halftime lead and found themselves trailing in the 4th quarter before pulling out the victory to go to 5-0. Kansas City may have the best defense in the NFL. They are only allowing an insane 11.6 PPG. 6-0 seems realistic as they host the Raiders in week 6.
Fantasy Relevant
QB – Alex Smith can be a solid value play when he faces a weak defense. He has yet to throw for over 300 yards this season averaging 240.4 YPG. Oakland allows the 22nd most FPPG to QBs.
RBs – Jamaal Charles is averaging a whopping 129.4 yards from scrimmage per game. How about this fact: every RB to face the Raiders has had their worst fantasy game of 2013.
Receiving – No Chiefs WR is averaging more than 61 yards per game. Bowe has underachieved and Avery left Sundays game with a shoulder injury. Smith does not help the cause with his short passing game. As long as McGrath remains the only healthy TE, he has TE punt potential against weak opponents.

ST. LOUIS RAMS
Is it possible to score 34 points and look bad? The Rams were very unimpressive in their win over the Jags. Jacksonville was actually within a touch down in the 4th quarter, which tells you how bad the Rams are as a team.
Fantasy Relevant
QB – Including the “give me” game against the Jaguars, Bradford has only averaged 221 YPG in his last 3 games. The Jags rarely got any pressure on him and his completion pct was 55.9%. The Texans have the #1 ranked defense against the pass and only allow 13.5 FPPG to the QB.
RBs – Jeff Fisher confirmed Monday that Zac Stacy will again start at RB. Stacy had 14 carries to Richardson’s 13. It is still a time share and not a very good one at that. Houston however is allowing the 4th most rushing YPG.
Receiving – The Rams pass the ball 6th most in the red zone at 67% of the time. Over the last 3 weeks Austin Pettis is a top 15 WR. Tavon Austin only has 5 catches in his last 2 games. After a big week # 1, Cook has basically done nothing since. In the last 4 weeks he has an average of 3.25 catches and 31.25 yards per game.
HOUSTON TEXANS
After sneaking out two wins to start the year, the Texans have lost 3 in a row and are lucky that they are not 0-5. It is the first time since week #17 2010 that the Texans have been under .500. Schaub not only had 3 INTs but threw a pick 6 for an NFL record 4th consecutive game. He was later replaced by T.J. Yates. Houston actually rushed the ball pretty effectively, but were down a lot early and had to resort to the passing game, which was terrible. Arian Foster was the only productive Texan against the 49ers. The Texans desperately need a win this week against the Rams.
Fantasy Relevant
QB – It has to get better for Schaub, doesn’t it? He faces the Rams 23rd ranked defense and still has some very good weapons. The Rams are allowing a 106.7 QB rating, and over 28 points per game.
RBs – Arian Foster has really picked up his game in the last two weeks, facing two of the best defenses in football in SEA and SF. In those two games he has 200 yards rushing and 89 yards receiving. The Rams are the 2nd worst fantasy defense VS the run allowing 25 FPPG.
Receiving – The Rams have a difficult time defending big physical receivers like Andre Johnson. Fitzgerald, Julio, Boldin and Blackmon to name a few have all had big games against the Rams secondary. Johnson has the 4th most targets among WRs with 55. Other than Hopkins big week #2, he has averaged only 3.75 catches per game and 44 receiving yards. Garrett Graham is currently a top 15 TE. With Owen Daniels out, Graham becomes a great value play. The Texans throw to the TE an average of 11.8 times per game.

DETROIT LIONS
The Detroit Lions looked awful in Lambeau Field. The Packers have the 26th ranked defense against the pass and lost Clay Matthews, yet the Lions still could do nothing offensively. Megatron may be the most important offensive player to his team in the NFL.
Fantasy Relevant
QB – Matthew Stafford had zero help in the passing game last week. His receivers dropped 5 passes and were not on the same page most of the game. If Calvin Johnson cannot go this week, there is no need to buy Stafford. Cleveland is only allowing 13 FPPG to the QB position.
RBs – With Megatron out last week, the Packers shut down the Lions running game. If Johnson cannot go, Bell and Bush will be limited and Cleveland will make Stafford throw to beat them. Bush and Bell need Megatron playing to open lanes for them. Cleveland has the 8th best run defense and they are allowing only 3.3 YPC to RBs.
Receiving – Calvin Johnson is the only receiver on Detroit worth talking about. If he does return, I doubt he is 100% and he will see a lot of Joe Haden.
CLEVELAND BROWNS
Don’t look now, but the Browns have won 3 in a row. Losing Brian Hoyer was very unfortunate, but Brandon Weeden came in and looked solid leading the Browns to a win over the bills Thursday night. Cleveland and their 4th overall ranked defense will host the Lions Sunday.
Fantasy Relevant
QB – Brandon Weeden has a big arm and a few weapons in his arsenal. However he struggled mightily in his only two starts earlier this season, but that was without Josh Gordon. He has shown an inability to read defenses and move the chains consistently. His is turnover prone and the Lions have 8 interceptions this year.
RBs – Willis McGahee continues to be used more and more as the he gets himself back into game shape. He had 26 carries in week 5. The Lions allow 5.3 YPC and 22.4 FPPG to the RB.
Receiving – Among WRs with 3 or more games played Josh Gordon is 2nd in FPPG. In his last 3 games, Bess only has 11 catches and is averaging 39 yards per game. Detroit has yet to allow a TE TD this season and only allow 8.6 FPPG to the TE position.

GREEN BAY PACKERS
The Packers moved to 2-2 with a win over the Lions in week 5. It was not the high scoring shootout many of us expected. Green Bay played a strong defensive game and out rushed Detroit 180-64. However all was not good, as we learned Clay Matthews will be out at least a month with a broken thumb.
Fantasy Relevant
QB – In Rodgers last 2 games he only has 2 TDs, to go with 2 INT, and has averaged a mere 259 passing yards, with a comp pct of 63.6%. Baltimore has been great defensively at home, allowing only 15 total points (2 games) and an average of 213.5 passing yards.
RBs – Eddie Lacy ran hard in week 5, breaking tackles and racking up the yards after contact. In week 5 Lacy had 23 carries with Franklin only getting 3. The Ravens have the #1 ranked defense against the run in terms of FPPG.
Receiving – The packers have an extremely well balanced offense (targets above), which makes it difficult to know which receiver will have a big game on any give week. Cobb had 2 rushes last week for 72 yards. Jordy Nelson is averaging over 92 YPG. James Jones continues to be a boom or bust WR. According to PFF Jones is 9th with 164 YAC.
BALTIMORE RAVENS
The Ravens pulled out a win in Miami behind Ray Rice ’s 2 TDs and Justin Tucker ’s 4 field goals including a 44 yard game winner. Baltimore’s injury riddled offense struggled to make many big plays, but found a way to grind out a win. They will need to be much better this week against Green Bay and their 3rd overall ranked offense.
Fantasy Relevant
QB -Joe Flacco had limited passing options in week 5 with Brown and Jones both out. He should have all his WRs back for week 6. GB is ranked 26th against the pass and are allowing the 2nd highest QB rating with an average of 107.2.
RBs – Ray Rice was indeed the focal point of the offense in week 5 like Harbaugh suggested he would be. He had 27 rushes and 6 receptions. However Rice is still not running all that effectively, his longest run Sunday was 7 yards. He is averaging only 2.9 YPC.
Receiving – Torrey Smith was double teamed all game and still had 6 catches for 121 yards against the Dolphins. According to PFF he is ranked 3rd in the NFL in YAC with 217, and averages 20.6 yards per reception. Torrey leads the NFL with 16 catches of 15 or more yards and the Packers allow the 2nd most passing plays of 15+ yards.
