Action Network Debuts Playbook AI Bot for DFS Entries & Betting Slips

tag @playbook on X to stop manually entering parlays

Action Network has launched Playbook, a new AI-driven tool for X (formerly Twitter) and Discord. It’s designed to turn social media betting picks into preloaded DFS entries and sportsbook slips in seconds. The bot aims to remove the friction of manually entering picks, allowing DFS players and bettors to act faster on multi-pick lineups or even single bets.

How Playbook Works

The Playbook AI bot for automating DFS entries and betslips integrates directly with X and Discord. Users simply tag @Playbook under a tweet or Discord message containing picks and receive a QuickSlip link in response. The bot can generate picks, single bets, and complex parlays based off of text in a tweet or even a screenshot. Users can specify their preferred DFS app or sportsbook, and Playbook confirms availability before generating the entry.

Clicking the link opens the selected app with the picks preloaded. Major U.S. sportsbooks supported include FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, and bet365, allowing bettors to compare lines and place wagers instantly.

Perhaps most noteworthy to DFS fans is that Playbook is compatible with PrizePicks. Now that PrizePicks is entirely peer-to-peer, Playbook lets PrizePicks users even more easily engage with others by mimicking their entries.

Hopefully, Playbook will become compatible with more of the best DFS sites down the line.

Solving a Longstanding Pain Point

Manual entry been a common frustration for users, particularly those following expert picks or entering multiple picks. By automating the process, Playbook reduces delays and improves execution speed. It can also help prevent users from making picks they didn’t intend to pick.

For X users following Action Network content, the workflow is simple: spot a pick, tag @Playbook, and receive a ready-to-use entry.

Industry Implications for Pick’em Apps and Sportsbooks

Playbook may also benefit pick’em and sportsbook operators by shortening the time from pick discovery to placement, potentially increasing engagement and retention. In a competitive U.S. market, platforms may explore AI-powered tools themselves to offer similar conveniences.

Community and Social Engagement

The Playbook bot also enhances community interaction. On X, bettors can tag Playbook under others’ posts, joining the action instantly. On Discord, it facilitates shared slips and collaboration within private DFS and betting communities.

The Broader Trend

Playbook reflects a growing trend of AI simplifying the pick’em and sports betting experience. By combining media reach with innovative technology, Action Network is at the forefront of content-driven fantasy and wagering. As social-first tools gain traction, manual bet entry could become increasingly outdated, signaling a shift in how users interact with these platforms.
