Best Cowboys vs. Saints Player Prop Bets for Thursday Night Football
What kind of performances can we expect on Thursdsay Night Football from Dak Prescott, Tony Pollard, and Mark Ingram? NFL betting analyst Nick Galaida has a hunch. Follow along as he breaks down his four favorite prop bets for Cowboys vs. Saints.
Thursday Night Football Prop Bets
The Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints will open Week 13 of the NFL season on Thursday evening at Caesars Superdome. Dallas will be without a number of personnel members for this contest due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the coaching staff. New Orleans will be starting Tayson Hill at quarterback for the first time this fall, hoping to put an end to their current four game losing streak.
Oddsmakers are expecting a relatively easy victory for Dallas, pricing the Cowboys as a six-point road favorite on the spread. With just hours until kickoff, the value on the spread and the total has been reduced compared to its opening market price. Instead of forcing action on saturated markets, bettors may find more expected value on player props for this Thursday Night Football game.

Best Cowboys vs. Saints Player Props
Dak Prescott o2.5 passing touchdowns (+186)
Any prop listed at this price is far from a lock, but Dak Prescott has a legitimate chance to cash this play for bettors this evening. Prescott has thrown for multiple touchdowns in all but two games this season. Five times this fall, Prescott has thrown for three or more touchdowns. Notably, against a ferocious Tampa Bay Buccaneers run defense in Week 1, Prescott threw for three touchdowns. New Orleans has the best run defense, measured by yards-per-carry, in the entire NFL. Dallas could once again look to the air when they find themselves near the goal line.
Dak Prescott o34.5 passing attempts (-110)
Dak Prescott has attempted at least 31 pass attempts in six consecutive games. In four of his last five games, Prescott has thrown at least 39 passes. Against one of the most dominant run defenses in the NFL, it would be extremely surprising to see the Cowboys place too much emphasis on the running game, especially with Ezekiel Elliott reportedly dealing with some nagging injuries. Dallas’ offense is at its best when the ball is in Prescott’s hands. Expect him to be busy on Thursday as the Cowboys try to get back into the win column against the Saints.
Tony Pollard o17.5 receiving yards (-110)
Though Ezekiel Elliott is going to play tonight, there were reports that the Cowboys were contemplating holding out their star running back for a game or two, to help him recover from a few nagging injuries. Tony Pollard has been sensational this year, leading the team with 5.3 yards-per-carry, while also securing 29 catches on only 31 targets. Pollard has at least 20 receiving yards in six of his last seven games. Dallas is likely to turn to him once again in this one against a tough run defense. This is a bargain price for bettors.
Mark Ingram Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+165)
*Get these odds at FanDuel Sportsbook
Mark Ingram will be running behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL on Thursday Night Football. However, he will also be running against one of the worst defensive lines in the league. Per Pro Football Focus, Chauncey Golston and Osa Odighizuwa both rank well below league average defending the run. Other than Tarell Basham, Dallas is extremely weak on the line of scrimmage on that side of the ball, which has unsurprisingly translated to 4.4 yards-per-carry for opponents on the ground this fall. Ingram should see the vast majority of the work in this one with the news that Alvin Kamara will be on the sidelines. Ingram has only found pay dirt twice this season, but at significant plus-money, this could be worth a small wager for bettors.
