Who is in store for big Sunday Night Football performances? NFL betting analyst Nick Galaida has a hunch. Follow along as he breaks down his four favorite Steelers vs. Chargers player props before this Week 11 matchup kicks off.

Tonight, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Chargers will battle on Sunday Night Football at Sofi Stadium. Pittsburgh has not lost since Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers, but each of their four wins have come by one score, and a tie against the Detroit Lions at home further illuminates the lack of elite talent on this roster. Los Angeles has lost three of their last four games, but they are likely better than their recent results suggest. Oddsmakers are expecting a relatively easy win tonight for the Chargers, pricing Los Angeles as a touchdown favorite on the spread. After heavy line movement throughout the week, the value on the side and the total has been reduced significantly compared to its opening market price. Instead of forcing action on saturated markets, bettors may find better value on some player props this evening.

Let’s take a deeper look at the matchup to see where bettors can find value at sportsbooks in this contest.

Steelers vs. Chargers Player Props

Keenan Allen o73.5 receiving yards (-110)

Keenan Allen could have one of his best games of the entire season this evening on Sunday Night Football. James Pierre is unquestionably Pittsburgh’s best cornerback, but he has only lined up in the slot for three snaps this fall, per Pro Football Focus. Allen has lined up in the slot for 55.1 percent of his snaps in 2021, meaning that he could see a lot of coverage from the underwhelming Arthur Maulet in this one. Pittsburgh also has one of the weakest linebacker units in the NFL, which should open up plenty of opportunities for yards after the catch. Allen is worth a look from bettors in this one.

Justin Herbert o270.5 passing yards (-110)

The Steelers will be without Joe Haden, T.J. Watt, and Isaiahh Loudermilk tonight on the defensive side of the ball. This fall, Pittsburgh has been mediocre in pass defense, allowing opposing signal callers to throw for 12 touchdowns against only three interceptions—good for a 95.5 passer rating. Herbert has struggled in recent weeks, but he has his most favorable matchup since throwing for 356 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. In home games this year, Herbert has two games of 337 passing yards or more against weak opposing secondary units. Bettors should anticipate a strong performance from him tonight, with the main concern being a big lead for Los Angeles leading to a run-heavy game script in the second half.

Najee Harris o114.5 rushing + receiving yards (-110)

The Chargers are allowing an NFL-worst 4.8 yards-per-carry this fall. They have been gashed for 1,396 rushing yards already this season, through only nine games. Harris has totaled at least 62 yards on the ground in six consecutive contests. He is averaging 38.6 receiving yards per game since Week 3. Harris has been targeted at least three times in each game this season, and has at least five targets in each of Pittsburgh’s losses this fall. Bettors should expect Harris to find success on the ground, but for him to be a viable pass-catcher if the game script turns pass-heavy for Pittsburgh. Either way, Harris should have the ball in his hands quite often this evening.

Najee Harris – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-125)

Only the Houston Texans and the New York Jets have allowed more rushing touchdowns this fall than the Chargers. Harris has found the end zone in six of his last eight games played. He has shown an ability to find pay dirt, both on the ground and through the air. Harris has four rushing touchdowns in 2021 and another two as a pass-catcher. At near even-money, this is a wager that bettors should strongly consider.
