Big Events Breakdown: NFL Week 3 and More!
Another week down in NFL action and that means another group of big winners to report. Another Grinder from the RG Kickoff Party in Vegas takes down the $10 FFFC, making it three weeks in a row. Two more qualifiers earn their spots in the DailyJoust NFL SuperJoust IV, the DraftKings Chase for the Crown heats up and much, much more. So much action that it’s near impossible to get every scoreboard, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t try.

Another Grinder who attended our NFL Kickoff Party in Las Vegas has taken down a seat in the FFFC. Primetime420 outlasted some late pushed by Marshawn Lynch owners and held on to an FFFC in the smallest of margins. To put his .04 point win into perspective, if Joe Flacco had passed for ONE LESS YARD for Primetime420 and Robert Griffin had thrown for ONE MORE YARD then the winner would have been mtodd1 that’s a ridiculous finish.

The high-roller $270 buy-in FFFC qualifier went to Crownies who is new to DFS but has had great success in the early goings. He edged out $10 winner Primetime420 and two cashes from daily fantasy football monster Condia. At the end of the day, Crownies 183.56 would have been enough to take down even the $10 qualifier with much more entries, if he had entered the same team there. Impressive game from Crownies.

The $55 SuperJoust qualifier went to Cp227 behind big games from Ben Roethlisberger and Jamaal Charles. He was almost down and out when C.J. Spiller went down but sleeper play Andrew Hawkins had a great game and chipped in heavily. He even won despite getting a -6 point performance from the Lions defense! Impressive stuff and congrats to the 4 grinders in the Top-8 players paid out here, including the man behind our Twitter account Bowens1984. Great work Brad.
DraftKings Chase for the Crown Updated Standings
WEEK 3 WINNER: ROTOGRINDERS CAL – 425.15 TOTAL POINTS
Congrats to Cal who I taught all of my secrets to, which allowed him to take down first this week in the overall Chase for the Crown standings. Joking aside he has been a top leaderboards across DraftKings all season and the honor of Week 3 champion is well deserved. With a win in the $10 Early Bird and four Top-10 finishes in Chase for the Crown events, he dominated this weekend. Props to one of our co-founders on the big week.

Grinder Headchopper remains a top the leaderboard but his huge lead has slimmed a bit following the great week from the afore mentioned Calvin Spears(yes, you can call him that). In the top-10 there are 7 Grinders actually, including Jlowery73, Taylor, DKMaestro, and DeanAbbott. There is also another RotoGrinders co-founder who simply uses the name RotoGrinders is ranked 7th! Cameron MacMillan is having a successful NFL season after taking most of MLB off and is killing it as well so I gotta show him some love there, or he will yell at me.

The FantasyFeud Field of Dreams Tournament, pitting the Top-12 Grinders on our Leaderboard as of late August, is heating up as 10 of the 12 teams are within 65 points of first place. A first place finish this week by Beermakersfan catapults him into first place but tight on his heels are Maxdalury, GeneralV, Kate and ally’s dad(Hester) and Ronnymor2. This was your perfect lineup from DraftDay this week. Surprising picks such as Ben Roethlisberger, Heath Miller and Ryan Succop dominated while some of the popular plays like Jamaal Charles, Calvin Johnson, and A.J. Green carried their weight as well. There’s also the emotional story of Torrey Smith who played under the worst of circumstances and managed to catch 2 TDs on his way to 30.7 fantasy points. Great stuff and an incredible lineup that might have actually fit under the $100K salary cap on DD!
