Primetime Parlay: Bills vs. Dolphins Same Game Parlay Picks
FanDuel Sportsbook posts the Bills as three-point road favorites in what can only be described as a pivotal matchup in Miami. The Dolphins look to cling on to their second seed as the Bills will likely have everything on the line. Let’s break down the game and pick out some legs to sweat in a same-game parlay for Sunday Night Football.
Bills vs. Dolphins Same Game Parlay Preview
Per ScoresAndOdds, most betting action prefers the Buffalo side: 62% of spread bets and 80% of the betting handle have chosen the Bills’ spread ahead of the crucial AFC East matchup. The Dolphins will play the game without Bradley Chubb and Xavien Howard. Miami could also be without Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Waddle. The Bills being a favorite makes plenty of sense.
For the Bills, the scenarios became far clearer after Saturday. The Houston Texans clinched at least a playoff berth with their victory over the Colts. The Steelers took care of business against a resting Baltimore Ravens team. Thus, the Bills’ future mostly depends on the outcome of the Sunday night affair.
For the Bills, a victory means an AFC East title and the second seed in the playoffs. For Miami, a victory means the same. Miami, though, already has a ticket punched to the playoff regardless of the outcome of this game. For the Bills to already own a playoff spot ahead of Sunday night, Buffalo would need the Jaguars to lose to the Titans. The game is meaningful regardless of the afternoon outcome. Both the Bills and Dolphins would love to play a home game next Sunday with a chance at additional home games through the playoffs.
The Bills are on a four-game tear that saved their playoff hopes. Victories over Dallas and Kansas City in Kansas City are the high-quality victories that inspire hope amongst Buffalo fans for a deep run in the playoffs. After enduring devastating injuries on the defensive side of the ball, Buffalo has righted the ship through acquisitions that help complement an explosive offense. A great reliance on the running game through James Cook has helped mitigate occasional turnover woes for Josh Allen. Without question, the Bills will be considered a dangerous team if they punch the two-seed.
The Dolphins are the other case. A team that seemed fated to take the top seed in the East has found a rut and lost key players. The loss of Bradley Chubb in meaningless time against the Ravens is a crushing blow to a Miami defense that had played extremely well since the return of Jalen Ramsey. Additionally, Xavien Howard will miss Sunday night’s contest- a horrible circumstance against a team that features plenty of weapons to cover in the secondary.
For the offense, Tyreek Hill will likely be working an overtime shift as both Jaylen Waddle and Raheem Mostert are expected not to play per Josh Alper at ProFootballTalk. Presumably, DeVon Achane will shoulder a bigger load while Tyreek Hill will be peppered with targets. The Bills will likely look to disrupt the rhythm of Tua Tagovailoa and keep him from precise passing in time with his receivers. Over the last three weeks, the Bills have a 10.58% sack rate on defense.
Both offenses are explosive and we know the key pieces. The 48.5 implied game total suggests plenty of points. Let’s cook up a ticket to complement what will be an exciting Sunday night.
Same Game Parlay Picks for Bills at Dolphins
- Bills Moneyline
- Hill Over 94.5 Receiving Yards
- Allen Anytime Touchdown Scorer
- James Cook Over 21.5 Receiving Yards
Buffalo Bills Moneyline
While the Bills might already have a ticket punched to the playoffs, the Sunday night matchup will still be extremely consequential. Both teams know the value of home-field advantage in the playoffs. Buffalo more so than most teams features a challenging environment and temperature to play in during January. The Bills will be extremely motivated to win on Sunday night.
I like the spread bet as well but would rather take no chances with a late field goal. We ride with the Bills and continue as such.
Tyreek Hill Over 94.5 Receiving Yards
Without Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Waddle, Tyreek’s already full plate of opportunity will spill over. Undoubtedly, Tyreek Hill is the best offensive player in tonight’s game. For the Dolphins to win, Tyreek is going to need to win on the outside all night.
Most betting sites don’t feature prop lines for Miami running backs or Jaylen Waddle because of the question marks around their status. Tyreek is posted because he is likely going to feature a big prop line. This number will only move up when the Miami players are announced out of the game.
Josh Allen Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Josh Allen is probably the second-best offensive player in the game. The Bills flow through their star even with a recent emphasis on the running game.
Like the Eagles, if the Bills get in close, expect Josh Allen to get a couple of opportunities to find the end zone. Allen always brings the threat of a long-run touchdown but the recent emphasis on the tush push has created more opportunities for the gunslinger.
Despite effective running from the Bills’ backfield, I would still assume that Allen will have his number called at the goal line.
James Cook Over 21.5 Receiving Yards
James Cook exploded over the last few weeks as the dynamic option all fantasy drafters expected in the summer months. Running the ball with extreme efficiency but also springing long gains through the air, Cook has become a main cog in the Buffalo offensive machine.
The running back receiving props are tricky, but the Bills have recently seemed to lean on the running backs as receiving options. Quicker throws for Josh Allen mean fewer turnovers, and linebackers trying to cover James Cook is a big win for the Buffalo side.
