Bills vs. Jets Player Props for MNF

Garrett Wilson o5.5 Receptions (-120), Bet365

The Buffalo Bills have a reputation as a strong defense, but they ranked 29th in DVOA against the opposing team’s top wide receiver in 2022, according to FTN. They were also mediocre against the slot, ranking 18th in DVOA. Garrett Wilson played nearly 300 snaps in the slot and nearly 600 snaps out wide last fall, per PFF. Tonight, he will see some combination of coverage from Christian Benford, Tre’Davious White, and Taron Johnson – only Johnson was better than the league average at his position last season. Aaron Rodgers has a history of flooding his top option in the passing game with targets, with Davante Adams having roughly a 30% target share in 2020 and 2021. Expect Wilson to be plenty busy on Monday night and for him to have a great chance to hit the over here.

James Cook u2.5 Receptions (-130), DraftKings

In two games against the New York Jets in 2022, James Cook went under this market number both times. His poor performance in the passing game was not a coincidence, as that is an area of the game that New York did a good job defending last fall. Per FTN, the Jets ranked 10th in DVOA against the running back position for the season. The Jets are once again strong at linebacker with C.J. Mosley and Jamien Sherwood. The under is the smart lean in this spot.

NFL DFS Pick’em

Dalvin Cook More Than 12.5 Rush Attempts, PrizePicks

Reading between the lines, it appears as though Dalvin Cook will be the clear leader in touches out of the New York backfield on Monday Night Football. Though Breece Hall has done a good job getting himself in shape and appears ready to take the field this evening, there seems to be a certain level of caution from the front office and coaching staff regarding his playing time. Cook is no longer an elite runner, but he is still good enough to handle 13 carries on a night in which we could see a low-scoring affair. If New York finds themselves ahead late in the game, Cook is likely to get those touches as well. There is enough upside here to make this look a worthwhile risk.
