Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

MrTuttle05: Isaac Brown
stlcardinals84: Makhi Hughes
Jordan Vanek: Makhi Hughes
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play this week? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments and also running 1-2 cash-type lineups in single-entry tournaments. Unlike last week, I don’t see many, if any, really good game stacks, so I’ll be under the field on that type of build. I still want to connect my starting QB with 1 or 2 pass catchers, except for the running QBs, but I won’t have as many bring-backs from the other team. I also want to take chances with some of the passing QBs and find extremely cheap WRs to pair with them, even if they don’t project well. Projected ownership looks like Chimere Dike and Gunnar Helm will be popular, and I would rather bypass those guys in most builds and find other cheap options.
MrTuttle05: Large-field tournaments – I’ve never seen so many viable sub-$4,000 receiving options on a slate before. That means we can do two things: flip lineup builds around and pay up at WR or embrace the value and spray and spread out exposure across the cheap options. As of now, I’m planning on doing the latter. Despite the high number of value options, we could still see ownership concentrate across the top couple of players, such as Will Sheppard and Gunnar Helm. If that happens, we can still differentiate our lineups simply by playing the value options projecting for lower ownership, like Mason Taylor, Ahmari Huggins-Bruce, or T.J. Moore.

stlcardinals84: I actually love the single-entry build this week, with there being one key spot where I plan to differentiate my builds from the field. Isaac Brown is likely going to be the most popular running back, and our ownership projections have him around a whopping 50%. While he obviously grades out well, I think there’s potential leverage to be had by fading him in single-entry tournaments and going in with exposure to the Louisville passing attack. If Brown is on the wrong side of touchdown variance and the passing game puts the points on the board, there is a huge double benefit here.
Jordan Vanek: Large-field tournaments – I’m seeing the slate in different ways from the chalk, leading me to flip my usual build strategy. I’m opting for the cheapest QBs, such as Dylan Raiola and DJ Lagway. For Raiola, I’ll pair him with one of his pass catchers, while for Lagway, I’m leaning toward the run game rather than the chalky Chimere Dike. This approach allows me to allocate more salary to other roster spots and gain exposure to some of the best players on the slate.
