CFB DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Week 3

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Ollie Gordon II
MrTuttle05: Garrett Greene
stlcardinals84: Garrett Greene
Jordan Vanek: Garrett Greene

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play this week? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I’ll play a few entries in some higher-dollar tournaments. I’ll also run 150 in large-field, multi-entry tournaments. With two weeks of knowledge, I can really start to condense my player pool since I have a better idea of who I think are RB1s and WR1s. As always, with CFB DFS and numerous running QBs on the slate, a lot of these guys do not need to be stacked with a pass catcher, and I won’t do that.

MrTuttle05: Large-field tournaments – RB chalk (sans Ollie Gordon II in Week 2) continues to hit at a high rate, but the position continues to have extremely strong lower-owned alternatives (see Ja’Quinden Jackson last week). I plan on having fairly spread out RB exposure, and some of my favorite options currently projected for under 10% ownership are: Jeremiyah Love (I think he could catch some steam), Jordan James, Jovantae Barnes, Wayshawn Parker, Kaleb Jackson, and Roydell Williams.

stlcardinals84: My usual approach is to play large-field tournaments, and I will do 15-20 lineups in the bigger DK tournaments. I will likely have a larger player pool than normal, as there are quite a few spots where I think players are priced at a discount. As such, I will expand my pool of value options while dispersing those plays around a smaller core of high-end plays. My favorite spots to target value are with pass catchers, particularly from Washington State and Oregon State. I also think that some Tulane mid-range plays, like Makhi Hughes and Mario Williams, are fine point-per-dollar options despite a tough matchup. These are spots where I plan to be overweight.

Jordan Vanek: Large-field tournaments – With more data available, there’s a great opportunity to gain an edge, especially at wide receiver, where the field could be off. I’m eyeing an Alabama stack with Jalen Milroe and freshman Ryan Williams, who have big-play potential in a high-paced game. What makes this stack even more appealing is the strong chalk options at running back, which provide a solid floor. This allows for taking a calculated risk with the low-pOWN% Alabama stack, and running it back with Wisconsin’s Will Pauling could add even more upside.

What is your favorite correlation and why?
