CFB DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Week 7

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Phil Mafah
MrTuttle05: Phil Mafah
stlcardinals84: Phil Mafah
Jordan Vanek: Phil Mafah

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play this week? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I am max-entering the $25 Mini Mid-Season Main Event. My basic plan is not to fade the chalk but rather to play it in different sequences than others will. I’ll have some mini game stacks mixed in as well, but stacking isn’t a huge priority for me this week.

MrTuttle05: Large-field – Get weird at WR. A lot of the WRs popping in early-week projections appear to be solid plays but with fairly limited upside. WR looks to be the position you can get different at by rostering players projecting at sub-10% without sacrificing any sort of ceiling. One way to get different would be to pay up at the position, as common builds will likely have two WRs priced $5,300 or less.

stlcardinals84: I will be entering about 15-20 entries into the $25 Mini Mid-Season Main Event. It is a contest that is larger than usual, with a $300,000 prize pool and $100,000 to 1st place. This lends itself to taking a few more chances given the top-heavy payout structure. I am going to be significantly overweight on three offenses, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, and UNC, and I will be overweight on most of the skill players on those three teams.

Jordan Vanek: I’ll be playing 150 entries in the Mini Mid-Season Main Event, and my strategy will focus on condensing my player pool as much as possible. Wide receiver has been the most volatile position in CFB DFS, so nailing down the right picks there will be crucial. By trying to get the WR selections right, I can get the best pure plays at running back, which could make all the difference in the results. This balanced approach should help maximize upside while limiting exposure to unnecessary risk.

What is your favorite correlation and why?
