How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: It’s a small slate, but it’s still the first games of the season, and there is so much uncertainty. Basically, people will be slaves to the projections from all of the different sources, and even those projection-makers will tell you about the variance involved in Week 0 and Week 1. So unless it’s a sure-lock type of salary, anyone gathering too much projected ownership can be faded because we just don’t know. These first couple of weeks, I will keep my eyes on the pOWN% and be willing to take chances on guys in the lower range who I see having a role this season.

MrTuttle05: Spread out WR exposure. While my RB pool will be fairly concentrated, this looks like a good slate to spread out exposure at the WR position. WR projections are low across the board, and there’s way more uncertainty at the position as a whole.

stlcardinals84: Keeping a close eye on news heading all the way up to Saturday afternoon will be helpful for this slate, as there is a ton of unknown regarding the true depth charts for almost every team heading into Week 0. This is especially true at wide receiver, where most of the teams on this slate have seen significant turnover from last season. I will expand my net of possible cheap WR choices while also making an active choice to be underweight on most of USC’s expensive skill players in a game they should win comfortably.

Jordan Vanek: My biggest stance is fading Tanook Hines. He didn’t practice until August 19th, and I don’t expect heavy usage since USC is favored by 31.5 points. USC has plenty of young playmakers, while Waymond Jordan and King Miller can carry the rushing attack. Hines may be active, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be a full-go. It’s a risky fade, but it’s one I’m willing to make.

What is your favorite correlation and why?
