Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: There’s plenty of cheap value on both sites at all the flex positions. So ultimately, I’m going to make sure I spend up on the best game-breaking quarterbacks at QB and superflex. I will not be saving much salary at the quarterback position. For the most part, we’re back to conference games with lower spreads, so I can play anybody from any team and feel comfortable that they’re going to play the majority of the game. And if they do get pulled early, it’s probably because their offense put up so many points that, theoretically, they’ve already paid off their salary.

MrTuttle05: My differentiation this week will come from roster construction rather than from finding secret plays. The cheap chalk is efficient (e.g. Micah Gilbert at 3.77x, Gavin Freeman at 3.65x, Junior Sherrill at 3.56x on DK, Bo Jackson at 2.52x, and Caleb Hawkins at 2.45x on FD), so I’ll have plenty of exposure to it but will look to change up roster construction around those pieces.

stlcardinals84: There are a ton of different ways to build lineups. I’m not exactly enamored with the “elite” spend-up options on either site, and that seems to be drawing me toward a lot of balanced builds. I am going to be very heavy on the midrange – from $8,000 to $10,000 on FD and $5,000 to $7,000 on DK – and underweight on the extreme high-end plays and punt plays. I also plan to get plenty of exposure to the skill players from the WAKE/UL game on both sites.

Jordan Vanek: This slate has so many high totals that I think it’ll be very difficult to duplicate a lineup. There are several game stacks I love, starting with UCLA/UMD. Neither team has a great defense, and both QBs are capable of putting up massive scores. MISS/UF is another game I want plenty of exposure to, with the Ole Miss passing attack and Jadan Baugh making for an easy game stack. Overall, there are enough cheap options across the slate to build around these high-upside game environments while still finding ways to get unique.
