College Hoops are back, baby!

Although we are still 5 months from March Madness and the craziness of the NCAA Tournament, there is plenty of action to get you up to speed and prepared for the Big Dance with daily fantasy action from three of the best sites out there.

To kick the season off, here is a quick breakdown of what you can expect for this college hoops season on FanDuel, Draftstreet and DraftKings.

DraftKings CBB

Just like the other two sites, DraftKings will launch on November 8th. The rules and scoring will remain the same as last season, so those looking for consistency can be sure that Draft Kings is delivering that promise home. Check out RG’s DK Review for a 100% DraftKings Deposit Bonus up to $600!

The typical price points that their site will cover will be similar to other sports (GPPs mainly at $2, $11, $27, and they will be trying a $109 price point to test if there is interest. In addition, they plan to offer up 10x game, triple ups and double ups for certain.

One way the Draft Kings site will stand out is in the promotions department. Within a week or two of the season tipping off, they will run a contest called the $5K Campus Jam. This is an $11 buy-in similar to last year. And just like last year, the Draft Kings team anticipates running a Final Four promotion. Details of that contest in March are still in progress.

DraftKings Scoring & Format

Another way in which Draft Kings stands out is in their lineup requirements and scoring system. Rosters will consist of 8 players, (of course representing at least 2 different real-life NCAA Basketball games). The roster positions are 3 guards, 3 forwards, 1 center and 1 utility spot. The scoring differs in that you get 1 point per point, .5 points for every 3-pointer made, 1.25 points per rebound, 1.5 points per assist, 1.5 additional points for a double-double (max 1 per roster spot) and 3 points for a triple double (max 1 per roster spot).

FanDuel CBB

FanDuel offers a few fantastic options for College Hoops junkies like me out there. With the season tipping off tomorrow, they are ready to roll. You can immediately jump right into the action as FanDuel offers players from the major conferences:

FanDuel is trying to get new players involved right away thanks to freerolls such as the WDF and the FDP Freeroll, which you can read about here.

In addition, FanDuel will have promotional freerolls posted from time to time on Twitter and Facebook and those promotions are found through partner sites.

FanDuel CBB Scoring & Roster

FanDuel offers the most wide ranging scoring system there is, bringing in the traditional scoring categories you would want. You receive 1 point per point, 1.2 points per rebound, 1.5 points per assist, 2 points for every steal and block and players lose 1 point for every turnover. In terms of players required for FanDuel, you must select 5 forwards and 4 guards.

DraftStreet CBB

DraftStreet is back with another year of great action. In addition to their freerolls which allow you to earn credits for future use in paid games on their site, DS offers a wide range of games for CBB ranging from $2-$420. All of the main BCS conference teams will be eligible (they tend not to extend past the major teams) and games should also launch next week as the DraftStreet team is fine-tuning their CBB games for this year.

DraftStreet Scoring & Roster

On Draftstreet the rosters and scoring are simple. You play 3 forward, 3 guards and 2 utility spots. You earn 1 point per point scored, 1.25 points per rebound and 1.5 points per assist.

With all of the great college hoops action, with your favorite teams in new conferences and new freshman ready to carry their teams deep into March, lets tip it off and get the party started!
