College Football DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Week 5
Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?
headChopper: Of all the players on this slate with rushing stats, Shedeur Sanders has a slate-low -102 (yes, negative) yards rushing. USC might be porous on defense, but they do come in with a top 5 sack rate this season, albeit against weak competition. I said above Sanders was a partial fade. I can’t see a true stud player that’s a full fade this week, but because of the complete lack of rushing, Sanders is my biggest partial fade.
darddog: Caleb Williams is a pretty good bet to lead the slate in fantasy points. If you’re looking to pair him with one of his pass-catchers, good luck picking the right one. USC played 62 snaps last week against Colorado, and the highest amount of snaps played by a WR was 36 by Tahj Washington. 7 WRs had between 25 and 36 snaps. No WR has more than 19 targets on the season. All of the pass-catchers are expensive, so if you pick the right one to play with Williams, it should pay off.
STLCardinals84: Through the first four games of the season, Kentucky has been impressive with a 4-0 record. However, they are not an exciting team to target from a DFS perspective. In those four games, they are averaging a meager 54 offensive plays per game. That is the second-lowest mark in the FBS, ahead of only New Mexico State.
kmurray03: Northwestern is not a very good football team, but their offense is moving quick. They rank 20th in seconds per play this season; this could be helpful for their opponent’s fantasy upside. They get Penn State this week.
