Cowboys vs. Vikings Prop Bets for Sunday Night Football

The Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings will battle on Sunday Night Football at U.S. Bank Stadium. Dallas enters this primetime matchup on a six game winning streak, but could be without star quarterback Dak Prescott in this one. Minnesota has won three of their last four contests as they try to climb back into the NFC playoff race. Oddsmakers are expecting a tightly contested affair in this one, pricing the Vikings as a field goal favorite on the spread. After heavy line movement throughout the week, the value on the side and the total has been reduced significantly compared to its opening market price. Instead of forcing action on saturated markets, bettors may find better value on some player props this evening.

Let’s take a deeper look at the matchup to see where bettors can find value at sportsbooks in this contest.

Cowboys vs. Vikings Player Props

Dalvin Cook o89.5 rushing yards (-110)

Dalvin Cook has been banged up during the early part of this season, which has limited his production. However, he finally looked healthy in Minnesota’s Week 6 contest against the Carolina Panthers—gaining 140 yards on the ground. Coming off of a Week 7 bye, Cook should be the healthiest that he has been all season. He has an extremely favorable matchup against a Dallas defense that is allowing 4.3 yards-per-carry this fall. Bettors should expect Cook to be used often in this one and for him to have a strong performance.

Dalvin Cook – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-165)

Bettors are going to have to pay the juice on this prop, but it is worth the investment on Sunday Night Football. Other than Randy Gregory, the Cowboys are extremely weak on the defensive line against the run. Quinton Bohanna and Carlos Watkins are extremely weak in the middle of the line. Despite playing hurt this season, Cook has a touchdown in two of his four games played. Cook scored a touchdown in 11 of his 14 games during the 2020 campaign. At 165, the implied odds on this prop cashing are 62.26 percent. Cook has a touchdown in 13 of his last 18 games-a 72.22 percent cash rate. Take advantage of this mispriced line.

Kirk Cousins Under 281.5 passing yards (-110)

Cousins has been magnificent so far this season, but the game script is not going to be conducive to him hitting the over on this prop tonight. Dallas has been a top-10 pass defense in 2021, holding opposing quarterbacks to an 88.1 passer rating and a 12-to-11 touchdown to interception ratio. Cousins has gone over this threshold against the Cincinnati Bengals (in overtime), the Seattle Seahawks, and the Carolina Panthers this fall. However, he has gone under this threshold against the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Lions. The game script is likely to favor a heavy dose of the run tonight. Cousins could play an extremely efficient game and still not hit this over.

Tony Pollard – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+220)

Tony Pollard has been electric out of the backfield this season, averaging 6.0 yards-per-carry. Though he is unquestionably the second option for Dallas in the running game, he has totaled double-digit touches in every contest since Week 1. He has only found the endzone once this year, but he has an opportunity for a sneaky score tonight in a game likely to favor the run. If Cooper Rush is under center, he could see more opportunities as a check-down option as well. Do not bet the house here, but at significant plus-money, this could be worth a small wager.

Kirk Cousins – No Interception (-136)

Dallas has forced 11 interceptions this season, which is the only reason that bettors have a rare opportunity to get Cousins as a near pick’em to not throw an interception. Since the beginning of November 2020, Cousins has only five interceptions in 16 games. Cousins is one of the most skilled quarterbacks in the NFL when it comes to taking care of the football. This is an extremely favorable line for bettors to take advantage of tonight.
