DFS Tournament Report: December 2nd

Four new lineups appeared in the top ten in the last few minutes of play but none of them were able to do enough to surpass wildbuzzard who holds on by the skin of his teeth to win the $100,000 first place prize. Iokoye finished in second, still hoping for one more Crawford bucket, but settling for $50,000 and second place. Redskinzfan81 takes down third place and $30,000. Triplethreed came out of nowhere at the end with Paul George and Rodney Stuckey to finish in fourth place, which was good for $20,00. Top DFS player ganondorf also made a late appearance and his lineup would finish in ninth place. Here is a look at the final top ten. Congrats to wildbuzzard!

It’s getting very interesting as this game comes to a close. Iokoye is now only 1.9 points out of the lead. One more Crawford bucket will move him into the lead. Redskinzfan81 finally got some Ellis points and is in third, 9.5 points out of first. KingBumble has moved into the top 10 and is 14.7 points out of first. There is still 3:13 left in the game – plenty of time to see some dramatic movement!

12:53 a.m. ET

A nice little run by Jamal Crawford has moved iokoye into second place, which would be good for a $50,000 payday. He’s going to need some more Crawford magic to take the top spot as he is still 8.1 points behind. Monta Ellis hasn’t scored since the last update and Redskinzfan81 is still in 7th place as a result.

In the meantime, KingBumble is making a late surge as he has the red hot Paul George on his roster along with DeAndre Jordan. He has two lineups in 13th place and has the potential to make a serious run in this last six minutes.

12:35 a.m. ET

The third quarter has ended and there’s been some slight movement from the aforementioned Redskinzfan81 and iokoye. Monta Ellis gave Redskinzfan81 a nice push and he now sits in 7th place, 13.5 points behind our leader wildbuzzard. Iokoye and his roster containing Jamal Crawford, in the meantime is in 5th place, 13.1 points behind the lead.

12:15 a.m. ET

Halfway through the first quarter and iokoye finally hits the top 10 as Crawford puts up a few fantasy points. Iokoye is now in eighth place, 14.3 points behind the leader. Redskinzfan81 is on the outskirts of the top 10, in 14th place, with Monta Ellis in his lineup. Those are the only two in the top 25 with a player remaining.

11:45 p.m. ET

The game is at the half and still no change in the top 10. Jamal Crawford scored no points so iokoye gained no ground and is still in 17th place.

11:15 p.m. ET

No change in the top 10 but iokoye is lurking in 17th place, 18.2 points behind the top spot, with Jamal Crawford in action.

With the Spurs-Bucks game coming to a close there is only one game left, the Clippers-Pacers game. We’re going to reduce the updates to once every 20-30 minutes (or anytime there is a significant change in the standings). Here’s a look at the current top 10 as wildbuzzard continues to hold the top spot:

1. wildbuzzard 365.90
2. elwayfan2k 354.80
3. malikg187 353.80
4. maxxtraxx 352.80
5. conman311 352.70
6. ganondorf 352.30
7. amazinghappens 351.90
8. johntabaloc1 351.10
9. techguy04 350.80
10. pompeo24 350.50

10:30 p.m. ET

Wildbuzzard only had two players from the Pistons-Suns game but one of them was the right one (Reggie Jackson). Add in John Wall, Pau Gasol, and Anthony Davis and it’s easy to see why he moved into the top spot.

A lot of players are benefiting from the Pistons-Suns game going into overtime and elwayfan2K has three players still going in that game and is adding to his lead:

We have a new leader as elwayfan2k, led by a lineup of John Wall and Reggie Jackson, has taken the top spot. Still plenty of play left for someone to overtake him though.

Back and forth we go as vake1004 has retaken the lead over mrcrayton. Those two have a lot to fade, however, as they are running low on quarters remaining (QR) and others are right behind them with more QR left.

8:50 p.m. ET

We pick up the action as the first games enter the fourth quarter and the current leader is vake1004 and tjbrown112 with scores of 270.0. The two have different lineups with vake1004 going with a John Wall-Nic Batum led lineup while tjbrown112 is riding the hot hand of Steph Curry (as well as Wall/Batum). Mrcrayton and markzach05 are lurking in third and fourth with more QR than the two leaders so the lead is bound to change over the course of the evening. We’ll be here to provide updates every 15 minutes as well as screenshots of the leading lineups.
