DFS Tournament Report: Live Finals Qualifiers Review for Weeks 3 and 4
Two more weeks of qualifiers and plenty of people are eyeing the huge prizes after winning seats into these prestigious events. As is usually the case it was a who’s who of DFS mixed in with some unknowns taking down the seats. Among those taking down a Q were CSURAM88, youdacao, aejones, and saahilsud along with two of RotoGrinders’ own, db730 and braskey (aka Cal).
Here’s a quick review of those who have qualified along with a peek at a few of the winning lineups:
DraftKings Fantasy Football World Championship (FFWC)
Several of the top 50 ranked players in the RotoGrinders.com TPOY race took down seats in the DraftKings FFWC over the past two weeks including the current #2, papagates, the current #5, youdacao, as well as CSURAM88 (#14), BrandonAdams (#32), and TeeJayorTJ (#39 – won two seats). But it’s stories like kdoubledeuce who for $4 bested a field of 20,235 by a staggering 12+ point margin and will find himself playing with the big guns later this season. DraftKings King of the Beach Atlantis (KOTB)
As mentioned in our last live final qualifier report, the King of the Beach Atlantis is a unique event that will eventually see 50 people taking a trip down to the Bahamas and the Atlantis Resort. Until November 13th, DraftKings will be running weekly qualifiers for their online Round 1 event. Players may qualify up to five times and the 180 that do make it to Round 1 will battle it out on November 20th. The top 50 from that event will go to the live final two weeks later in the Bahamas. The past two weeks saw RotoGrinders.com live on-the-air personalities cjkalt (ranked #22 in RG’s TPOY race) and db730 advance to Round 1. Cjkalt, aka theseige, was actually outdone by his own mother (pat2222) who advanced twice to Round 1. Here’s a look at the Round 1 qualifiers and db730’s winning lineup.

FanDuel World Fantasy Football Championship (WFFC)
The big live final for FanDuel had a who’s who of DFS qualify over the past two weeks as saahilsud (#1 in RG’s TPOY race), bigpapagates (#2 – two seats), assani (#7), and aejones (#10) all advanced to the live final. Aejones is best remembered for winning the DraftKings FFWC last year and becoming the first person in DFS to win five million in one contest.
