DFS Tournament Report: NFL Week 14
No lead was safe this week as a high scoring Monday Night Football game between the Giants and Dolphins saw every single lead in all the major GPPs change hands before it was all said and done. That’s what happens when two of the highest owned players in the industry, Lamar Miller and Odell Beckham Jr., both score two touchdowns.
It was a big night for RotoGrinders in live qualifiers as co-founder Cal Spears won yet another seat, as did cheeseisgood and Al_Smizzle. Here’s a quick review of all the exciting GPP action and the last chance winners for DraftKings FFWC that takes place next weekend.
DraftKings $2.5M Millionaire Maker Special ($3 entry)
00oreo00 started the night with what appeared to be a comfortable lead as he was up 28.1 points on TheBrewster who had Odell Beckham Jr. left and 25.7 points up on flopshot3 who had Lamar Miller remaining. Flopshot3 would surge up the leaderboard in the first half thanks to two Miller TD’s and would be in fourth place and not needing much more to take the top spot. He would never get anything more from the Dolphins RB as they abandoned the run game. The second half, however, turned into the ODB show and when Eli Manning connected with him for an 80+ yard TD pass midway through the 4th quarter the entire standings changed as 00oreo00 dropped all the way down to 20th place when a handful of players with Beckham on their rosters passed him. TheBrewster had just enough points to hold onto the lead over sylbester who also had Jarvis Landry going to collect the $1,000,000 first place prize. Not bad for $3!

No lead was safe tonight and that was never more evident than in this contest where jhprim22 started the night with a 35.7 point lead over herberh2. Not even that big of a lead was safe though as Beckham’s 38.6 points would catapult herberh2 into the top spot as well as giving dmiller61 second place. Jhprim22 would have to settle for a somewhat disappointing third place.

DraftKings $700K Hot Route Championship ($100 entry)
Poker pro and television analyst Tony Dunst held the lead coming into the night of a big $100 GPP on DraftKings but he too could not fade the Monday Night hammer as he would end up finishing in 12th place. Dacrakaman had both Beckham and Jarvis Landry tonight and that was enough to give him the win by the slimmest of margins over justguessing74 who had Miller and Beckham.

DraftKings FFWC Live Final Qualifier Winners

Wakely entered the night nearly 35 points behind dukeleto but surpassed that easily with Beckham and Miller on his team. He held off the Eli-Beckham lineup of mres to win the $175,000 first place prize money.

Tinkerschoice started the night with no one with a position player within 30 points of him. Knort1221 only needed one position player – Odell Beckham – to make the jump into first place. Purplehorns would have three players in tonight’s game with two of them being Miller and Beckham (the third was Josh Brown) while bwd1441 would have Miller and Beckham as well. It was actually the extra point by Josh Brown on the last TD that moved purplehorns into first place over bwd1441 and that was all he would need to collect the $100,000 first-place prize.
