Weather Report for Dolphins at Chiefs

This is absolutely brutal weather for players and fans alike. The temperature by kickoff will be in the single digits and will fall below 0 degrees by the end of the game. There’s also a 10-15 mph sustained wind gusting of 20 mph, which will put the feels-like temperature between -10 and -20 degrees. To be clear, that’s 10 and 20 degrees below zero. Ouch. I’ll keep the forecast updated here on my NFL weather reports, and on Twitter, @KevinRothWx .

Betting & Fantasy Weather Notes

In general, temperature does not have a strong correlation to scoring, but on the extremes, it does matter… and this is most definitely what I would consider to be “extreme.” Cold weather makes long FGs harder, but it also is less than ideal for throwing and catching. It’s not as impactful as driving rain or strong winds, but it does have at least a minor impact on the game.
