We have a fantastic SNF matchup this week, as the 5-1 Dolphins take on the 5-1 Eagles in a potential Super Bowl preview. Tua Tagovailoa gets to face off against former Alabama teammate Jalen Hurts for the first time, along with Alabama alums Waddle and Smith, and with the highest projected game total of the entire week we are in for a likely shootout. Jeff Wilson is on track to come off IR and bolster an already stellar Miami run game, and we’ll see if newly signed Julio Jones suits up for Philly or they wait another week to play him.

NFL DFS Showdown Picks: Dolphins at Eagles Week 7

Currently, this game is sitting at a 51.5 total, with the Eagles favored by 2.5 points. This is four points higher than any other projected game total this week, and is also tied for the second closest spread. The Dolphins lead the league in points/game, yards/game, and yards/play, while the Eagles are top six in all those stats, so I’m already crossing off both DSTs for cash game consideration, and it’s basically a “fit in as many skill players as possible” type of game.

Quarterback

Only Hill is more expensive than both QBs, and Tua is $800 cheaper than Hurts. If you’re doing MME (mass multi-entry) you’re absolutely including at least one of these QBs on every lineup, and a majority of lineups should have both. I’d do my best to fit both on your main cash game lineup, but if you can only fit one I’d lean towards Tua, as the Eagles are a pass-funnel defense who are allowing just 65.8 rush yards/game, and as road underdogs I think Miami could be in catch up mode and the best way to score on Philly is through the air.

Running Back

Raheem Mostert has been one of the best RBs through six weeks, with 11 touchdowns and 574 total yards. In most potential shootouts he would be a slam dunk no-brainer play, but I’m a bit hesitant in this specific matchup as the Eagles are ranked 2nd against the run, along with the potential for Jeff Wilson poaching some goal-line work. In my main build I’m looking to stack the Miami passing game, but in GPPs, I would certainly have plenty of Mostert exposure, and he could be a sneaky captain play if he can break one long TD or get a lot of work through the air.

DAndre Swift has been a beast since taking over the Philly backfield Week 2, and has seen increased targets in each of the last three games. At just $8,000, he is a fantastic bring-back on Miami heavy lineups, as he should be looking at a 20-touch floor with a great shot at a TD or two. Like Mostert, he is a strong captain play in GPPs, and if you only go with one RB in your main build, I would definitely go with Swift at an $1,800 discount in a better matchup. Gainwell ($3,800) is worth a couple of GPP teams in case he finds the endzone on his likely 5-10 touches.

Wide Receiver

Tyreek Hill is extremely pricey, but I think he’ll be worth every penny against the pass-funnel Eagles defense, and he is a priority stack with Tua in cash games for me. I’ll even go as far as saying he should be your cash game captain, as I think he has legit 200+ yards and 2-3 TD upside here. Jaylen Waddle ($8,600) is also an excellent value to include on the Tua stack as he pretty much only throws to those two WRs, and Waddle should easily pay off that salary.

DeVonta Smith ($7,400) comes at a massive $2.6k discount to AJ Brown ($10,000), so I prefer him as a cash game value to help fit in Hill/Tua. Brown should absolutely be on the majority of Hurts teams you build in tournaments and I’d have plenty of lineups with both WRs, but since I prefer the Miami passing attack in cash games, I will likely be going with Smith or Swift as the main Philly bringback. Julio Jones ($2,000) will just be a GPP flier if he’s active, along with Zaccheaus ($1,400).

Tight End

Dallas Goedert ($6,200) is another excellent cash game value for cheap Philly exposure, and with 17 targets over his last two games he should remain heavily involved at a great price. He is easily the best cash game flex play under $7K, and should draw pretty high ownership in all formats as the key to fitting in as many expensive players as possible.

Durham Smythe ($1,600) plays a lot of snaps and will absolutely help you fit in 5 other top players in your lineup, but he has a legitimate floor of 0 FPs which he has scored in each of the last two games, having seen just one total target, so play him at your own risk in cash games and even GPPs.

Defense / Special Teams

Both DSTs are cheap at around $3k, but I think they’ll need a TD to have any chance of being in the optimal lineups, as both offenses are extremely likely to put up 24+ points. I’d honestly rather take a shot on Gainwell, Berrios, or Julio (if active) if you need a flex option in that price range.

I prefer Jake Elliott ($4,800) over Jason Sanders ($5,200) if you are set on using a kicker in your main build.

Sunday Night Football NFL DFS Strategy

I like going with a 4-2 Miami build or a 3-3 build in cash games, as this game should be extremely close and we want exposure to both offenses. Hill or Tua are my favorite captain plays and I’d do my best to fit Waddle as well, while Swift, Smith, and Goedert are my preferred Eagles targets at much lower salaries than Brown or Hurts.

DraftKings DFS Showdown Rankings

1. Tyreek Hill – I just can’t fade him in cash games at any price in this good of a matchup and projected total, and would do my best to captain spot him.

2. Tua Tagovailoa – I like his price discount to Hurts, and I think Miami will have to throw to have success this game.

3. Dallas Goedert – Top value flex play for cash games, and could easily be the top scoring Philly skill player.

4. Jaylen Waddle / DAndre Swift – Definitely include Waddle on any lineup you leave Hill out of, and for cash games I like stacking both with Tua. Along with Goedert, Swift is a top Philly bring back at just $8k.

5. DeVonta Smith – Priced between Swift and Goedert I think Smith is another great Philly value target, and should be on any Hurts lineup that doesn’t include Brown, along with plenty of GPP stacks that include all three.
