Dolphins vs. Eagles Player Props for TNF

Tua Tagovailoa u279.5 Passing Yards (-110), Bet365

Tua Tagovailoa has played at an MVP-level so far in 2023, but four of the six games he has played have come against defenses that rank 27th or worse in EPA/play through six weeks. Notably, those teams have also struggled to generate pressure on Tagovailoa, which has given him a clean pocket on a higher number of his pass attempts. From a clean pocket this year, Tagovailoa has been elite, leading the NFL in passer rating. He has been far less impressive under pressure, completing only 40.5% of his pass attempts for 6.4 yards per attempt. Factor in windy conditions this evening, which make passing even more difficult, and it’s easy to see a path to an under in this contest

DeVonta Smith o5.5 Receptions (+115), Bet365

DeVonta Smith has only eclipsed this market number twice in his first six games played this fall, but he has been more involved in the offense in recent weeks. Last weekend, Smith had a season-high 11 targets against the New York Jets. Tonight, he gets a much more favorable matchup against a Miami Dolphins defense that ranks 19th in passing yards allowed per play in 2023. Miami’s two primary cornerbacks, Eli Apple and Xavien Howard, each rank 90th or worse in coverage grade this season out of 108 qualified players at their position. The windy playing conditions should force more short completions underneath, giving Smith a great opportunity to hit the over in Week 7.

NFL DFS Pick’em

Jalen Hurts More Than 23.5 Completions, PrizePicks

In each of the last four weeks, Jalen Hurts has compiled at least 23 completions. In each of the last three weeks, Hurts has totaled 25 completions or more. Philadelphia had the NFL’s top offensive line in 2022, but that unit has unquestionably been down a notch to begin 2023, which has forced the team to rely more on Hurts as a passer. Facing a weak Miami secondary unit, Hurts should be competitive at this market number once again on Sunday Night Football.
