Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?
Notorious: This course is already extremely short by professional golf standards (just over 6,800 yards), and with the altitude, it plays even shorter than the scorecard suggests. Those that can hit fairways, dial up their approach shots, and make putts on these bent/poa greens are going to find themselves in contention this week. I’ll also note that course history has been very predictive here over the years.
STLCardinals84: As usual, this tournament will be hosted by the Golf-Club Crans-sur-Sierre, which sounds like a fantastic place to play golf. The course is very short and does not reward aggressive play off the tee very much. It is tight and tree-lined, and approach/wedge play is going to be the key to success. I also like to give priority to golfers that have shown success at this tricky venue in the past. Take the golfers that know how to find fairways and greens and tend to stay out of trouble.
