Draft NFL Premium: Best Ball Value Watch

NFL Best Ball expert, Mike Beers, will examine trends in average draft position (ADP) and highlight what he believes are currently some of the best and worst values in best ball leagues. He’ll also share one of his favorite best ball drafts to wrap up this weekly Draft NFL Premium series.

Best Ball Value Watch: Week of July 31

I’m changing up the format a bit in this week’s Value Watch. With training camps underway, injuries are already piling up, and fantasy-relevant news flow is picking up. We’ll start with the player updates that are about to swing ADP, if they haven’t already, then onto this week’s Must Buys and Avoids, as usual. As always, you can follow ADP yourself using the RotoGrinders Draft ADP tool.

Players on the Move

Andrew Luck (down 6 picks to 65 Overall, QB4) and T.Y. Hilton (ADP: 17 Overall, WR8) – A report of “rumblings” that Andrew Luck could start the season on PUP put the fear in drafters, and I have been able to draft the Colts QB as late as the eighth round in the past few days. Anecdotally, Hilton has also started to slide, though it’s not yet reflected in our ADP numbers. More reassuring reports quickly followed the worrisome newsbreak, and it appears Luck is still on track to play week 1. Things may swing back, but until they do, I am buying both Luck and his WR1 on the dip. Recommendation: BUY.
