Notorious: James Harden
meansy53: James Harden
STLCardinals84: Russell Westbrook
SBK: Russell Westbrook

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

Notorious: With 12 games on the schedule tonight, we can overlook a number of teams that have low implied totals. The teams with the best projected point differentials of the slate are the Jazz (+6.8), Pelicans (+5.8), Pistons (+5.6), Blazers (+5.3), and Lakers (+4.5).

meansy53: In 330 minutes this season with Ricky Rubio, Joe Johnson, and Rodney Hood off of the court, Donovan Mitchell has seen a 0.27 fantasy point per minute increase.

STLCardinals84: The Lakers and Pelicans both rank among the top three teams in the NBA in tempo. Vegas has installed this game with a 227 O/U, and there should be plenty of fantasy goodness if the game stays close.

SBK: John Collins owns a 1.04 FPPM rate with Schroder, Bazemore and Ilyasova plus all non-rotation members off the floor this season. In that same split, Malcolm Delaney averages 0.88 and Tyler Dorsey is sitting on 0.70. Mike Muscala (0.78 FPPM) is another name to watch.

What’s your hot take of the day?

Notorious: Anthony Davis gets hurt in the first quarter, scares the entire DFS community, then comes back and posts a 70-burger against the Lakers.

meansy53: Four players record triple-doubles tonight.

STLCardinals84: Kyle Kuzma posts a 40+ fantasy point game off the bench as the Lakers snag a win over the Pelicans

SBK: Damian Lillard scores 50+ real points

Who will you be most overweight on compared to the field and why?

Notorious: Donovan Mitchell – As long as Ricky Rubio is out again tonight (currently questionable), I will continue to ride this insane streak by Mitchell. While I am a Jazz homer, it’s hard not to like his usage in the offense and his upside against the Suns, who are ranked dead last in both points allowed per game and defensive efficiency.

meansy53: Donovan Mitchell – He has posted usage rates of 31.1%, 34.4%, and 37.6% in the past three games. In literally the best matchup a team can get, I want all of the Donovan Mitchell tonight as long as Rubio sits out again.

STLCardinals84: Anthony Davis – This feels like a game where we could see a blow up performance from Davis. He is a physical mismatch for the Lakers’ frontcourt, and I like the idea of stacking this game in GPPs. Both of these teams play at a fast pace, and we could see a massive point total in this game.

SBK: Hawks bench options – I’ll have ample exposure to Collins regardless of whether or not he starts, but I prefer rolling out guys like Muscala/Dorsey towards minimum price than rostering the starters – mainly Taurean Prince – who could certainly be subject to the bench in a blowout.
