Last Chance to Get Your Seat at the FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship
Background:
In case you haven’t heard about the Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship (DFBC), here is a quick summary of what it is and what is at stake. Fanduel is hosting the king of all fantasy tournaments that will be giving away $75,000 in prizes to the 20 lucky individuals that are lucky enough to win a seat in the tournament. One of the best parts about the DFBC is that anyone can enter and win a seat to it. Even if you have never won a single fantasy game in your life, all you need is one good team to get a seat in the DFBC.
How to Win Your Seat:
Every Friday Fanduel hosts a DFBC tournament that is only $10 to enter. This tournament awards $2,000 in prizes each week to contestants that finish in places 2-34. Just those prizes alone should be enough to make you want to enter, but the first place prize is what makes the tournament so great. The top score each week will get a heralded seat at the DFBC which again will be giving away $75,000 in prizes. Each Friday’s tournament is not capped so if you have the bank roll for it, I suggest entering as many times as you can each week.
Now on to the bad news: there are only six weeks left for you to get into the DFBC. That means that you only have six more Friday tournaments to get in, only six more. The last seat will be awarded on September 2. If you’re not yet a member of FanDuel, make sure to check out the RotoGrinders FanDuel Review for exclusive Deposit Bonuses when you join! Plus, as a RotoGrinders member you get at least a $100 FanDuel freeroll every single month! You can’t beat that.
The Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship:

The actual tournament will consist of all of the seat winners throughout the season. There will be 20 total seats in all and all of them are guaranteed to win some big money. The DFBC will take place on September 9 with the winner taking home a whopping $25,000.
So make sure to get your entries in to each week’s DFBC contest because I know I will. I have still yet to claim my seat, and with only 6 more chances, now is the time to put as many entries in as I can.
Tuesday MLB Lineup
My article wouldn’t be complete unless I gave you my team for the day, so here is my team for Fanduel’s Hit & Run Contest today. I usually like to justify each of my picks, so if you are looking for some good player tips for tonight’s games, you’ve come to the right place:
| Position | Player | Salary | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| P | Jake Peavy | 8100 | Any pitcher that can face Miggy Cabrera and make him go 2/23 with 10 strikeouts against him must be doing something right. Plus the rest of the Tigers have bad numbers against him. |
| C | Brian McCann | 3600 | McCann is 4/5 with 2 doubles and a HR against Karstens. Plus he has been swinging a hot bat. |
| 1B | Gaby Sanchez | 3300 | Gaby Sanchez has been crushing the ball lately and is batting .500 lifetime against Zimmerman. For this price, he is a steal. |
| 2B | Brandon Phillips | 3400 | Phillips is 4/7 with a double and 2 HR’s against Niese. You have to love those numbers. |
| 3B | Kevin Youkilis | 3800 | Something about Youkilis facing a young lefty that just screams him having a huge game. |
| SS | Yuniesky Betancourt | 3100 | This pick is more of a fill in pick. I do like him matchup against Dempster because I think the Brewers put up a lot of runs tonight. |
| LF | Eric Thames | 3100 | Thames is a great young talent and gets to face Arrieta at home. Plus he has Bautista behind him to make sure he gets a couple runs. |
| CF | Marlon Byrd | 3200 | Byrd is 4/9 with 4 doubles against Narveson. Enough said. |
| RF | Jason Heyward | 3400 | I think that Karstens will struggle on the road against an up and coming Braves offense. Look for Heyward to get in on the action. |
Good luck in your leagues tonight and I will see you in Fanduel’s DFBC contest this Friday!
